Hey hey I'm in your neck of the woods. :) I almost went there with a friend on Monday night, but then we discovered they were not open for dinner on Mondays. I'm going to make a trip there soon.

Have you been yet??

If you do -- please, please tell us (haha -- me!) about it. I have been way over my "entertainment" budget the last month or so with huge amounts of travel, restaurants, classes, etc. sooo... I think I might have to hold off on going there unless it's the sort of place where I could get by with a nice meal for $10 or so.

Hmmm, actually I just looked at the menu. I should have known it would be a good value in Atlantic Beach! Nothing like the nearly $300 for 4 people at Pure Food & Wine... Ack!

Yeah their menu prices look very reasonable. I went to Pure Food and Wine with my son and his finace just over a year ago and it was nuts what he spent. A very cool experience though. I spoke to Kelly there this morning to tell her how psyched I was and it's owned by the lady who owns European Street who has a real passion and vision for the raw lifestyle. I was told by someone who ate there that it's a small cafe, a few couches, etc...books and things and they have a raw/health documentary weekly. It's a 3 minutes drive from my house so I am very excited about it. Hope it doesn't torture my husband too much.

What is European Street??

LOL re: husband. Are you going to drag him there?? My poor husband has probably been to more raw restaurants than most raw foodies. Buuuut, he managed to hit up the whole fast food circuit while I've been working during the day this past week, though. LOL. Aw well. His body!

European Street Cafe...they have one in San Marco and one on Beach Blvd. in Jax Beach......very cool place for SAD, sandwiches, salads, world beer collection, bakery, chocolate. The one in San Marco has music, usually on Thursday nights I think.

Yes...I am going to drag my husband. Daughter said she'd go with me too and eat the food!!*L*

I went tonight for dinner....very quiet. I had a buckwheat bean burritto in a spinach/chia shell. It had refried "beans" and a seed cheese. It was great. My DH, who has never eaten a raw meal in his life had the pesto pizza, which was served on two pieces of an onion bread type crust w/ marinated veggies and some mixed greens. We shared a scoop of mint/chocolate cip ice cream for dessert. There was Blues music playing in the background...he wanted to know was that a coincidence???*LOL* He was cool about it but not thrilled but said he'd go for me when I wanted to...Awwwwwwwwww. It cost us about $22/plus the tip...pretty cheap~

I loved it...bought some Lydia's cinnamon cereal and some Gone Nutz to bring home. It was great to have a real option to going out to dinner and staying 100%, which I have been since the first.

You already went! So cool. I saw the burrito on the menu. I did NOT notice the ice cream!!! Yum! And that is a very nice price tag -- hmmm, like 8 visits there vs. 1 to Pure Food and Wine? :)

I had lunch here on Saturday with Eva and her Mom, Diana. It was fun and great to meet them! The food was good and it was pretty busy, which is terrific. Wishing them success.
