I don't have a dehydrator, but am really interested in trying some yummy raw dessert recipes. Does anyone have recommendations for simple treats I can whip up without many appliances? (I don't currently have a food processor either, but will happily chop or blend.)
TIA!

Hi Melanie,
I am very new to raw I don't have a dehydrator i am just using my old blender which is doing the job for me and i am happy with it. I've been raw for five days now and loving don't worry about running out there buying this and that just get yourself use to this diet first, you'll have enough hurdle go through than worrying about spending money to by tools, books etc. you can search this forum or the internet there are tones of raw recipes. I just send a couple to kick start you a blender work very good with both recipes.

1 cup blueberries
1 apple
3 big handfuls of baby spinach
2 cups of water
-------------
4-5 kale leaves
3 apples
½ lemon juiced
2 cups of water
------------------
½ romaine (cos) lettuce
3 bananas
2 cups water

Thanks, Helen! I agree about not worrying about all the extra tools that would be nice, and I'm enjoying (understatement!!) eating pretty simply. I might have to try one of your blends for my green smoothie today!
But I do so love my dessert items, and having 'sweets' on hand that are nourishing and yummy is really inspiring for me! For example, yesterday I made what tasted like a fruit and nut bar... I made a chocolate-y goo with honey and cocoa, mixed in a little almond butter, then added cashews, raisins and cacao nibs. It was beyond tasty! And because I was only serving it to myself, it didn't have to look pretty. ;)

This is kind of like what I make and is similar to Alissa's fudge balls. The cashew butter, cacao, agave, raisins and sunflower seeds all stirred up. Like you said, it ain't pretty, but it sure is good!
