I have a question do you think that Nama shoyu can go bad. My last two recipes I have made with it has had this strong unpleasant taste. I can not really explain it. I made sauce for a raw stir fry and just got done eating general tso's mushrooms. I really do not know how long I have had it-it is 32oz and I think I may have had it 6 months. So let me know what you think. I think I am going to pick the rest.

I've had some that I thought went bad. I wasn't sure so I tossed it.

Was it stored in the fridge after opening?

I think so. It doesn't say so on the bottle, but for some reason I always have. Probably wise to throw yours out. :(

This keeps indefinately due to the high salt content. Could it have been another ingredient that caused an off taste?
Six months is pretty short of a shelf life unless it was on the store shelf for many years. Is there a 'use by' date?
