I'm on day 3 of my raw foods diet, and I'm pretty sure I've been overdoing it on the nuts and fruit/dried fruits. I'm worried that doing this raw food diet will have a lot of excess sugar and fat, and not being as healthy as I thought it would be. What could I do to balance this out?

Drop the dried fruit and eat it all fresh. Eating FRESH, organic, raw food is GREAT! Doing what you're doing ~ not so. Be sure to add dark leafy greens to your food program.

Yes, I noticed that a serving of organic raisins are 30g of sugar! But it seems that with each of my mini-meals, I've been having either nuts or fruit on the side.
I don't think that it can be easily avoided, so which is better...a high-fat raw food diet, or high-sugar raw food diet?

Fresh raw and living food.
You say: "But it seems that with each of my mini-meals, I've been having either nuts or fruit on the side." as though you have no choice in the matter. Don't you?

Listen to Revvell. She is a wise, wise woman. :)
I think dried fruits/nuts are ok at the beginning, as transitional foods, especially if you still want that fuuuuull feeling you're used to from a cooked diet. Personally, I gradually lost my taste for the (at least in the quantities I had in the beginning). Just do what feels good to you!! I do find that, the more greens and fresh fruit I eat, the more I want greens and fresh fruit!

Greens are the balancer to all of the fat and sugar.
