Drink some water if you're really hungry, otherwise just let it pass.

I wouldn't eat anything else till you feel like it and your stomach no longer hurts. How long have you been raw?

Not long.... I started a week ago Monday. I have been really bloated and really gassy, which is fine, I know that is part of the process. But I was out working and STARVING and I came home and there was already this stuff prepared and I ate it. I'll tell you one thing though, if it feels this bad to eat SAD, chances are good that I won't cave again.

May take longer for you to digest the cookie & tuna and your stomach acid to calm down and your blood sugar to even out, but it will pass. I think it's just a shock to the stomach especially because it's gotten used to easier digestion.
What has helped me when I had cooked food lapses was to drink water with few grapefruit seed extract (GSE) drops in it.
Don't be afraid to eat though. Eat when you feel hungry and make it raw and it will probably facilitate the cooked meal moving through your colon better ironically. Like a plunger. haha. :) Hope you feel better....

if i don't feel good from something i've eaten, the next few meals (or whole next day) will be just fresh juice (lots of greens, carrots, apples, oranges... anything in the fridge that you can throw into the juicer)
gives your body tons of nutrients and a break from digesting.

I would be into juice, water, and herbal tea, if my tummy were really bothering me, especially if it came from eating something icky.
Or GT's kombucha, the gingery kind. Mm, that sounds soothing.
But hey, if you're hungry, eat, for heaven's sake. Just do what feels right, dontchaknow.
Feel better soon. :)

Thanks, everyone. I tell you, I used to be able to eat boxes of cookies and it didn't bother me. the funny thing is it didn't even taste good. ( what is wrong with THAT picture?) But I made a green smoothie and I feel better. :D

Oh, rsloan, I hear ya! At at a big trade show today, I caved and ate a half-sandwich with tuna in it for lunch - believe it or not, this was the least offensive food there at that kiosk, and both of us were hungry! I even had some almonds with, too, which we both ate. I felt SO-O full afterwards, for hours! I'm moving on for sure - later for dinner, I hopped back on, and just had a banana, an orange, and some cashews, and that felt so-o much better. Have got chia seeds soaking for a green smoothie in the morning.
maybe for next time, you can already have some raw snacks prepared? :)

That's the theory huh?;) It really is true though, you need to have stuff around for when you are really hungry. I need to find some quick, easy recipes for times just like that!
That's the theory huh?;)
it's also a troubleshooting trick. ;)

I like to have things like little baby carrots, Lara bars, raw nuts on hand as good snacks just in case. Fresh fruit like apples and pears are yummy too.
