So I'm sitting here still (im)patiently awaiting Alissa's book ;)

I'm looking for brain foods! Foods that encourage healing, focus, energy, etc. My DH's TBI is a profound hurdle in our life at the moment. He has many incapacitating issues, such as:
Dizziness (varying degrees and lengths.. from not bad to overwhelming)
Memory Loss
Loss of information
Inability to retain information
Cognitive issues
Headaches
Flips between sleeping a lot and not sleeping at all.

The list could go on, but these are issues that he struggles with daily. He is all for anything that would make him feel better, and I think Raw could help him with some of these issues.

Throw some foods at me and I'll find a way to make it into his diet! Thanks!:D

I like young coconut. I put the juice & pulp into the VitaMix blender and blend until smooth. Yummy

ive read the omega threes in flax help . i buy the seeds whole then grind in blender to add to varying meals / smoothies .

Antioxidants: Spinach, Garlic, Kale, blueberries, blackberries, Strawberries, raspberries, prunes, raisins, cranberries
DHA Omega-3, Flaxseeds/Oil, Olive Oil, Walnuts, Brazil nuts, almonds
Avocados, Bananas, Romaine, brewer's yeast, broccoli, brown rice, brussel sprouts, cantaloupe, Collard Greens, legumes, oatmeal, Oranges, peas, potatoes, wheat germ
Choline (B vitamin), Folic acid, Rosemary
Ginkgo Biloba, Gotu Kola, Ginseng
Phosphotidyl Serine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid
Huperzine A
Vinpocetine-extract, derived from Periwinkle plant

Also important Exercise+Oxygen

Try Yoga....I find that it enhances my mental clarity and the ability for me to remember things.
