When they say ground flax seed would you assume they mean golden or brown or does it matter?

I think it's all about preference/taste. But could depending on the recipe too. I think golden is suppose to be more mild and would blend in easier with other ingredients. Not sure though.

Thanks, I just got back from my HFS and asked the question there. They said the golden is easier to digest so that's what I got. They didn't seem to think there was a nutrition difference.

You can also Ground either of them. I would buy them Whole and Ground them with a Coffee Grounder or something simular. Color also matters in different Recipes, just for the Eyes sake. Like White Pepper in a White Sauce, not Black Pepper.

it means flax seed ground up lol. it doesnt matter which kind unless the recipe says so ;)
