Hi everyone, it's me, the new person again. Day 7, no more headaches, am not dizzy any more, don't feel shaky, feel really clear-headed and refreshed, wonderful!!!

Question: i have chlorella tablets, they are small but they stick in my throat when i swallow, i'm not a great pill taker.

I also have a big jar of the powder. I want to add to a smoothie. Any suggestions for a smoothie using chlorella powder (the sweeter the better). I know this stuff is supposed to be very, very healthy!!

thanks...

I love chlorella. Yes, you chew the tablets. I think they taste great, are addictive even. But it may be different for someone who hasn't been raw long. You can also take the powder (or grind the tablets into powder) and mix with water for a soup. Or blend with other ingredients.

My chlorella drink, I have one every morning :
1 Lemon Juiced
1 tablespoon chlorella powder
1 tablespoon spirulina powder

I keep a bottle of the pills in my purse for while I'm out and about in all the traffic pollution/ walking behind smokers / while at concerts ...

The powder form is much more effective.

I'll have to try that drink. The powder or chewable tablets are definitely more effective than the capsules or tablets you swallow because they're still the whole food without modification or additives.

Gabriele, I just noticed you mentioned sweet. You can make a green smoothie and add the powder to it. Example bananas, orange juice or water, chlorella powder, optional fresh greens.

thanks for all the great suggestions, i tried chewing one, it wasn't too bad. This morning i made a smoothie: some chlorella powder (not a lot), handful of spinach, one pear and one banana and scoop of fiber. It was the darkest green color i've ever seen! It was very yummy.

Is there a good Chlorella powder or tablet available at Whole Foods? Going tomorrow. I'll order otherwise, but I'd like immediate gratification, lol.

Not sure. Seems like all the good quality ones are sold on-line. Make sure it's organic or wildcrafted. I have read you need to be careful regarding which you get though. Source Naturals Yaeyama Chlorella powder may be the closest thing you'll find of something decent quality. Not the tablets because they have additives and aren't chewable, unless you don't care about that.

Chlorenergy may be another one that's good. They have only tablets, that look very similar to the other chewable ones only more expensive. Not sure if chewable or swallow.

I get Source Naturals Yaeyama Chlorella tablets at Whole Foods that I chew up.
In fact, they are on a nice sale at my WFM right now.

They're very tasty, delicious, even, if you are at all accustomed to green/algae/spriulina kind of tastes. I have no idea how to describe it beyond that.
I just Googled to see if I could find you a link with a better description, and they all said "it tastes green," LOL. One said it tastes like green tea, which I guess it kinda sorta does.
Don't fear the taste - it's good! I have to hide them from my 3 year old or he will eat the whole bag, if that tells you anything. ;)

I normally dislike the taste of green supplements. But for some reason love chlorella, even find it addictive. Trying to stick with the powder instead.

HolyGuacamole, how big are Source Naturals tablets?

Hey raw frenz..........

Don't forget, Alisssa sells Chlorella tabs, too! Here's the link:
http://www.alissacohen.com/shop/home.php?cat=4

I buy from her and they are delish!!! I like to put them in my GS and take as a supplement..... I do NOT chew them, tho, cuz they stick to your teeth and everything else......

Do I need to chew them to get the benefits??????

Thanks and GREEN blessings to all :D

When chewing the tablets, the chlorophyll gives added benefits to the teeth and gums....

i took your advice/suggestion to amberly about source naturals and holyG mentioned it... bought a pound of it and have to say it's pretty good stuff!

i just took a teaspoon and mixed it wth OJ about an hour or so ago. not sure what to make of it.. might of taken too much? my energy and consentration is like zip zapping now and it's increased and is different the past 15 mins than before. my energy is gleeming yet trying to read and write is a tad challenging.. my mind is further than the speed to type and i can type fast.

i'm very energy sensitive and things hit me fast.. in fact in about 3 secs after or during swallowing i can feel the benefits or what's going on. i'm not sure if i'm abnormal to most, but for an example.. i can get high off of others auras if they are drunk or on drugs and i get a buzz off of 1 asprin.
it was very immediate i could feel the chorella and gave me a high and boost. it's very different than any other thing i've taken. simular to some stuff, but this is pretty different. i suppose because it's water grown???

then i read aleeshas blog on detox. i hope this doesn't happen to me! i know for sure i have mercury in me and perhaps some posion because i broke a moler and filling.

well anyways... when i take this next i'm only going to take 1/2 teaspoon or less.
this stuff is also the most beautiful shade of green i've ever seen!

but has anyone taken source naturals and then later found a better more potent brand?

also... what's the heads up of taking this? does it follow the herb rule of 6 weeks on 2 weeks off? personaly i don't see myseelf taking this all the time.

this is pretty wild. i just went outside and am seeing things more like digital tv VS the old tv sets... if this makes any sence.

my eyes have increasingly gotten worse over the years primary with depth perception. i wonder if this stuff is good for eyes.
