My New Year resolution is to consume what I have, and to incorporate all the yummy spices in my pantry. In my RAW frenzy, I have purchased raw dried coconut, medjool dates, and nuts, oat groats, OEVOO, ACV, etc...in bulk or in cases (was just noticeably cheaper per unit to do this), in addition to nearly every "odd" seasoning/spice I never heard of pre-raw...I am in VA through early July, so want to clean out the pantry before the drive home to NJ.

Also, I resolve to consume the lotions, potions, etc already in my possession. No more splurging on new organic stuff (to the extent I was this fall) until it is time to REPLACE a consumed potion!

Today is my 1st day being 100% raw! :D

There is no going back for me. I know what that will bring....

I made huge lifestyle changes in 2008 that helped me a great deal with multiple health issues and even though I still have long way to go, I know I'm on the most exciting, most beneficial path I could possibly be on!!!!

I'm so glad I found this website ~ I think it's pretty cool that this is the first site I want to check out first thing each morning before anything else! ;)

well i don't believe in new year's resolutions... firstly because my new year began nov. 1st (i'm pagan) and secondly because tomorrow is an assumption.

so i focus on today rather than making a resolution for the future.

but... what do i intend for myself? what would i like to grow into this year?

~i really want to get my yoga teachers training. this is a huge desire for me. i've let the Goddess know and am waiting for it happen for me.

~i want to continue with my joy-filled days (which is what i worked on during the last year). i'm not quite at the point yet where it's natural for me to do this. i have to stop myself from fretting and say, "nope i choose to take a deep breath and be joyful" then i smile - a nice big smile... and then... i feel better! so i'd love to work this to the point where i'm not working it anymore.

it's amazing how much of our lives are spent fretting. if we simply don't allow ourselves to fret, and choose to be joyful, our day becomes filled with joy.

that's not to say that we shouldn't deal with things that need to be dealt with, it's just --- why fret about it... get it done and move on!

1. be 100% Raw in order to lose weight in a healthy manner and prevent future health issues.

2. become physically fit by incorporating some form of fitness.

3. spend less time chatting on the internet for hours on end.

4. pursue my acting career with gusto.

5. write, produce and possibly direct 2 short films.

6. get rid of 50% of a combination of my personal belongings and that of my late mother's just in case I want or need to move to Los Angeles to pursue my acting/filmmaking career in 2010. I don't want packing and moving to be a burden, so I slowly getting rid of things now. Live a minimalist, but luxurious life.

7. learn to drive....something I don't know how to do in my adult life. I have always lived near great public transportation, no need for a car.

8. Find a boyfriend who is understanding and supportive in my drive to become a working actress and filmmaker.

Not into resolutions either. Although hubby and I do write out goals out every Jan. 1. We list "personal goals", "work goals", "together goals" and "household goals", print them out and put them on the "dream board" in our home office for a visual.

So, this year my personal goals are:

Lose 75-80 lbs - No problem, as long as I stay 100% raw, right?
Exercise 4-5 times a week
Study Bible and meditate more
Less TV more creativity
Become raw food certified chef
Become a certified personal trainer

3 of the goals above are carried over from last year so, hopefully I can knock'um out this year! :o)

Progress today...made a fresh batch of laundry detergent (elected to go the liquid route after more reading - instead of the dry mix) All items on hand. Cancelled my food order for next week (orders placed a week ahead of time) I do not need extra OEVOO, more produce, etc at this time! Felt good!
