HELP weird rash [Archive]

Hey everyone. I started a bowel cleanse on Monday, the same one I have done many times. I am eating only raw foods and juicing. I have done nothing different with my diet or anything and all of that sudden I have a really bad rash that is covering my arms, face and knees. It is a little itchy but mainly burning. I have been raw on and off for over 5 years and with all of my cleanses and detoxes I had never had something like this happen before. This is only my second day on the cleanse, and like I said I have done this cleanse before. Has anyone ever had something like this happen after you have already been raw for awhile? Do you think it is detox or something else? Any feedback would be appreciated.

It's always detox.

Try a warm bath with baking soda in it. Might draw out the toxins.

No I've never experienced any sort of skin problems while on the MC. All I can say is don't itch it! :) I read the other day that putting Himalayan salt water compress will help relieve the itching, pure aloe will help hydrate, shea butter, coconut oil.. help moisturizer. Sounds like it could be eczema from where the spots are. Drink lots of water hopefully it's just detox and will pass. Once your off the cleanse and it continues getting lots of those healthy fats will help moisturize the skin - avocados.. I'm sure you know all this though ;)

After my first week of raw I broke out in a TERRIBLE rash. It was under the skin. Only hands and feet. Was white rather than red. I have never itched so much in my life. Scratching my feet with a hairbrush caused orgasm. That's how deep the itch was. :rolleyes:

Amberly- That is hysterical, that is one good itch! :).

Thank you so much everyone for your responses. I am glad to report that it went away after 20 minutes. Definitely a detox symptom. Sorry there was no picture to take anymore, but it was horrible. No one would believe it was there if I told them because it went away so fast without a trace :).
