I just got a dehydrator for christmas, and I was wondering of any of you had recipes you would like to share that requires a dehydrator..
Thanks for the help.

Oooo, me too but I had to give it to myself for the holidays. Anyway, first off, what kind of dehydrator is it? Next, there are tons and tons of recipes involving a dehydrator. Virtually all crackers, breads, SAD-like desserts, and other more complicated items use a dehydrator. What were you looking to make?
My granddaughter (13yo) is here for the holidays and she just put in 3 trays of banana chips. I have a banana chip slicer and she loves making them.
I absolutely *love* Alissa's "Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms" in her cookbook. I love the Famous Onion Bread and Ani Phyo's Black Sesame Sunflower Bread.
Have fun with your new dehydrator! *Ü*

Oh, there's LOTS of stuff you can do! If you don't have any raw recipe books yet, or just want to get a whole bunch of ideas, you can cruise www.goneraw.com for recipes - they have them in all categories of raw food including MANY dehydrator recipes. They have literally thousands of recipes and someone is always adding something on almost a daily basis too. Look for stuff like various breads, crackers, wrappers, energy bar/cookie kinds of things, and various nugget-y kind of things too, for starters. Trust me, you're going to have a blast and your tastebuds are going to just WAKE UP with the goodies! Plus, having your very own raw crackers, etc. makes it much easier to stay raw and will cost you only about a third of what it costs to buy ready-made raw snacks and things. Save that for when you're travelling and can't have your own things with you.

I have my dehydrator going almost constantly and have on hand at all times:
Kale chips
Onion bread
Fruit "Leather" for the kids (yucky term, "fruit leather" :( )
Homemade raw bars
You can use the banana search at the top for recipes for kale chips and onion bread, and fruit leather is just whirred up fruit (I add greens :D ) poured out onto your teflex sheets or parchment and dehydrated. Raw bars are just dates, fruit, nuts, whatever, mixed up, dumped on a sheet, and dried until they hold together.
Have fun!
These recipes are from RFRW. They are sooo good. I usually use 1/2 honey and 1/2 agave instead of maple syrup. Hope you enjoy these.
Blonde Macroons
3 cups died, unsweetened coconut flakes
1 1/2 cup fine almond flour
1 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup coconut butter
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 t sea salt
1. in a large bowl, combine all the ingredient and stir well to combine. you can also use a standing mixer with the paddle attachment.
2. using a small ice cream scoop, your hands, or a big tablespoon, spoon rounds of the dough onto dehydrator screens. if you are using your hands, it helps to refrigerate the mix a bit prior to forming the macaroons. Dehydrate at 115 or 12 to 24 hours, or until crisp on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside.
Chocolate Macroons
3 C dried unsweetened coconut flakes
1 1/2 C cocoa powder (I used cacao)
1 C maple syrup
1/3 C coconut butter (I used the creme de coco virgin kind, and melted it in my dehydtrator first)
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
In large bowl or standing mixer combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Using a small ice cream scoop (I used a cookie scoop it worked beautifully) your hands or a big tablespoon, spoon rounds of dough onto teflex or parchment paper.
Dehydrate at 115 degrees for 12-24 hrs or until crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside (I did 105 degrees, and I just passed the 24 hr mark)
Hope this helps!
