One of my friends has diabetes secondary to multi myeloma and wants to start a raw lifestyle, including green smoothies. Her cholesterol is also high.
She is currently on a S.A.D. diet (including sodas, meat, processed foods) that seems okay with her doctors)

Problem: When she previously (1 year ago) started incorporating fruit smoothies into her diet, her doctor warned that she must limit the amount of fruit to 1 piece (ex: 1 banana; 1 apple etc) per day due to her diabetes.

Questions: Has anyone here been diagnosed with diabetes that was helped by raw?

What would you recommend for a person with her diagnoses as a way of transitioning to a raw lifestyle that includes green smoothies?

Thanks Aleesha.
I have not see the movie, but did see previews of it last year. I recently looked at a You Tube clips of the preview & with a participant discussing the results and forwarded her the You Tube links.

Thanks Green Woman. I will recommend Rainbow Green to her.

I am thinking of getting one of Gabriel Cousens' books for myself to start my 2009 "renewal". I've been trying to decide between Conscious Eating and Rainbow Green. I just checked and both are in stock at my local Barnes and Noble, but I can only afford one for now.
