If you were eating simple raw...what would you be eating?

If being the big question!!!
I would eat lots of fruit for the first half of the day....whatever and however much I wanted...salads with lots of variety.

I'm getting tired of being in the kitchen so much, so I'm thinking along these lines also. I'm settling into these different types of simpler raw meals:
* fruit or green smoothie
* salad (with seaweed/avocado/soaked+dehydrated nuts or grains)
* pasta + sauce
* pate based (e.g. - nori or collard wraps)
I lumped fruit and GS together because once I've had a meal of fruit, I don't want GS, and vice versa.

I've always done raw simply for years, sticking with recipes that take under 5 min. Smoothies, soups, salads are the main ones. Others: wraps, fruit or vegs alone or with 1-2 ingredients, pudding, pasta. I would never have stuck with this otherwise.
I love juice too, but it's more time-consuming. I do consider it a simple meal though. Liquid meals are the best way to go and then fill in with one or two solid if needed.

I am doing a smoothie first things in the morning, whatever I want with greens followed by just noshing on fruits of all kinds. I am not 100% raw yet, but I might take a lettuce leaf and wrap some chunky salsa or hummus in it, followed by light bean burritos for dinner or rice and beans. Still getting there but life couldn't be easier eating 75% raw right now.

Monomeals of fruit or veggies...doesn't get simpler than that!

My favorite meals are the quick and simple ones.
orange & banana in a bowl
ruby red grapefruit sectioned and juiced in a bowl
raw flaxseed pancakes
avocado & tomato wedges
Any others feel the same way? What would you eat?

Lots of big lettuce leaf wraps with chopped veggies, avocado, tomato, onion, carrot etc.
Fruits for snacks, avocados eaten with a spoon on their own, fresh juices, simple salads, veggie sticks, nuts and seeds by the handful.

Today's simple lunch was 4 clementines followed 30 minutes later by a handful of cashews. Simple for me is not having any dishes to wash.

Simple for me is not having any dishes to wash.
Wow. Doesn't get much simpler than that!! That's awesome!
I've gotten simpler and simpler in my raw journey. Now I usually have juicy fruit in the mornings (clementines, usually), then a big salad for a later meal... maybe another big salad for a third meal, and then nuts at the end of the day.
And I used to make big huge salads with EVERYthing in them. Now, it's pretty much just greens - sometimes with an avocado, often not - with a very simple vinaigrette of ACV, EVOO, and Bragg's Liquid Amino's. It's so ridiculously satisfying! I never woulda thunk it.

My favourite simple foods:
Grated apple with 2 grated carrots and a handful of raisins
Sliced cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes with basil and oregano
Chilled banana slices in warm (not cooked) 'smashed' mango

My boyfriend is a big fan of simple raw so for him his days look like this:
Mornings: a few different fruit chopped up in the food processor.
Afternoons: Green smoothie/green juice/fruit juice
Evenings: salad - romaine+spinach, cucumber, celery, cherry tomatoes with an avocado dressing - cucumber, celery + lemon juice.

Avocado eaten right out of the skin smothered in hot sauce.
Sauerkraut rolled up in nori sheet
A spoonful of coconut oil dipped in raw honey, right off the spoon
Tomato miso soup heated to 100 F.
I could go on.
3 days left on my fast...

Your soup sound so good. During September, tomato and pepper season here, I chopped and froze bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes and put them all together in baggies. This way all I have to do is dump it into the vitamix, add some spices and miso, and I'll have soup in minutes with hardly any effort. I've never added avocado, I think I'll try that. Avocados are on sale at my farm store this week for 69 cents a piece. I will buy 20 and put them in the fridge. The nice thing about them is that they stay just the same as when you put them in. I always buy hard ones. Then I take them out one at a time and let them warm up and soften up on the window sill for a few days. Oh, I'm getting so hungry.

Good thread, especially after the holidays - LOL!
Actually, I love simple meals, and really, most of mine are increasingly so from day to day. The dehydrator or more complex stuff are just adjuncts or treats, as yummy as they are. Most of my meals are stuff like green smoothies, a simple heap of greens with some crackers and avocado, or wraps with collards as the wrapper, or 2 fruits with some raw nuts. Another simple meal is shredded squash of some type with a simple sauce on it with some diced up kale or something. Cherry tomatoes go good with this - simple and filling too during the cooler weather. A banana cut up with either an orange, some strawberries(not for awhile though as they are out of season:(!)or other berries, a peach, whatever, and some cashews just really hits the spot so often for me, for that 2-fruit+nuts combo. In between meals, a snack might consist of a handful of my granola, or a piece of fruit, or some raw seeds, or one of my crackers with a simple spread on it.
Last February, when I first really got into raw, I was eating more quantity of food and more complex combos, but after only a very few months, my body guided me to simpler eating. This happened in particular after a major detox episode in May, so I went with that inner guidance - it pays to listen to one's body as people often say here. I'm still learning for sure! Seems to work, and the simpler eating is easy! Much easier on one's digestion too which is good. Like I said, I still do my few dehydrator staples to round my meals out like crackers, and granola mostly. Cookies only once in a while. Even my green smoothies are pretty simple featuring my greens mix of just two or three types, and maybe two types of fruits along with the chia seeds and hemp.
My friend in Florida to whom I've been sending info on raw food lifestyle( she's really picking up on it and loving it!) comments that I seem to thrive on a very simple diet.
There are days(usually when it's just a bit warmer though) when a plate of orange slices is just divine, especially eaten out in the sun(not putting in much of an appearance these days though), or half a mango with some lime juice squeezed on it and a few cashews or coconut shreds...a dinousaur kale leaf with some spread on it...sliced apple with almond butter and a few date pieces...sliced pears with raw walnuts and date pieces...so many simple combos!
