What are everyone's thoughts on Olive Oil and Apple Cider vinegar? I have read mixed opinions!
Is ACV good for you?
I've heard that some people don't use olive oil because it does not come to be naturally?
Just wondering - I am not big on either, but I was asked questions about the 2 by family members!

I use both. There's nothing unnatural about olive oil. My aunt and uncle in Greece still make olive oil the old fashioned way with a huge stone press and ripe raw olives. Olive oil = olive juice. If you're OK with juice being somewhat unnatural (squeezed as opposed to whole food) then there are no reasons to avoid high quality raw EVOO.
Apple cider vinegar is fermented apple juice. It also is raw and natural. Some people object to the fermentation. I use it because it has many health benefits, including (for some) weight loss. I also love the zingy apple flavor.
I hope that clears things up for you.

Olive oil has alot of healthy benefits from helping control LDL cholestrol while raising HDH levels. Great source of vitamin E. Helps keep your metabolism active, some even believe it can help prevent certain types of cancer. I love a good raw olive oil - Alissa sells a good one on her site.
here is a great site for raw apple cider vinegar info:

I have been trying to drink atleast one glass of water containing it each day - for me the smell is not very pleasant.

Melissa - a touch of honey greatly improves the taste and smell of water with ACV in it.

I love them both!
Maybe people are talking about distilled vinegar as being bad for you? (which it is, but I use it for house cleaning!) You can get crap versions of both OO and ACV, but the cold-pressed/raw versions are lovely and good when used in moderation.

Alissa doesn't say anything about not using these products in her book, so it's okay to me...

ACV doesn't make me feel good, it tastes too acidic to me. Wine is also raw but that fact wouldn't make me want to drink it either LOL
I'm sure everyBODY is different, so ENJOY it if it feels good to you. :)

I use both, too. I think the evidence supports the fact that they both offer health benefits and their use is not a detriment to good health, provided you are using the cold pressed/raw versions, as rawvive yourself mentioned.
I generally prefer to use a whole food fat like avocado if possible (just as I prefer a whole food sweetener like dates over a raw but processed one), but I am not averse to using olive oil at all if need be, and I think it tastes amazing.
I like the taste of apple cider vinegar... It's fabulous in the goddess chips dressing for one, and a little of it sipped in a glass water it is, to me, reminiscent of my beloved kombucha, so hurrah.

I also will squeeze lemon juice into the ACV and then add the lemon slice. That along with some honey makes it a pretty good drink.

Yes, can get very expensive in the U.S.!
I love them both! I find it does make a huge difference to get raw, organic, unfiltered ACV and raw, organic, cold-pressed olive oil. I don't use a ton of either these days, but I do enjoy them when I do. :)

bariani, good stuff. ive tried other oils like hemp and flax but they dont taste as good. ACV-other options, not necessary. if u gonna take large quantities just use it in a recipe instead of suffer.
