So I've been debating whether to use, oj, water or coconut water as a base for my chocolate green smoothie, I didn't think oj would work, didn't want to try water, and couldn't find any coconut water at the store, so I picked up a box of Celestial Seasonings Chocolate tea, I thought it was just chocolate, but turns out it was Chocolate Chai, anwhoo...
I used:
4 oz of green juice, with another 4-6 oz strong chocolate chai tea
frozen bananas
cocoa powder
vitamineral greens
couple of handfuls of spinach
dash of vanilla
agave
this came out so freaking good I couldn't believe it, I could pack as many greens in this smoothie as possible and still not taste them, I loved it!
Now, the iced tea is not raw, and I used cocoa instead of cacao for personal reasons, but the goal is getting greens in for me so I wasn't concerned with that.
I just got some actual chocolate hazelnut tea that I brewed really strongly and am getting ready to make another smoothie, the chocolate chai was nice, the spices added a different flavor, but I'm ready for full on chocolate, and hazelnut is always nice!
