I have been struggling and struggling and trying and trying to really reach the 100% mark of being raw, and I keep falling off and getting back on (but not with a lot of bad foods, per se...eating gardenburgers, sprouted whole grain bread, soy delicious ice cream, etc)

After being on a 3 day fast (for spiritual reasons), the Lord showed me that I still had a rebellious spirit (the Jonah spirit) in some areas of my life, and well, this was one of the areas. I've been trying and knowing that I really should go 100% since the beginning of the year (this is how long I have struggled with this) And I did good for about a month or two and then really slipped - the slip was bad enough to remind me of falling off Mt Everest. And I say I'm going to go 100% and then go back on my word...rebellion, rebellion, rebellion (as I see it)

So on my 2nd day of the fast, while I was trying to sleep and couldn't because I had sooooooooooooo much energy, the Lord gave me my plan for the next 30 days...and of course, you know what that was! 100% raw!! Also, before my dh and I got married, the Lord showed him a vision of how I was going to look in a few years and he told me he just couldn't describe it, but every day, he tells me 'you're getting closer and closer to that person I saw in that vision' (don't get me wrong. He already thinks I'm beautiful and all...just so you know) Anyway, the Lord didn't show me that vision but told me the vision my dh saw is going to become a reality after those 30 days! I'm soooooooooo excited to know about that!!!! Almost can't wait for the 30 days to be over so I can see for myself how I look! (oh, I guess I should have him take a picture of me now and a picture of me 30 days from now) So it's sooooooooo exicitng for me, and I am really, really looking forward to doing 100% raw, and I know nothing will deter me this time. And I really have a feeling, after those 30 days, I will continue to be 100% because I'll notice such a HUGE difference.

Also, I was reminded of when I did raw for about 2 or 3 weeks in February and people started noticing that I was looking better and better. Some even say I had beauty queen status (how wonderful it was to hear that statement!) If only I had stuck to it back then!! But oh well...that wasn't my season, and this is my season.

This sounds wonderful!!!! You will succeed this time -- one bite at a time!

I just finished my 30 days RAW. It was amazing how easy it was! And I kept everything simple. I made a smoothie most days for lunch -- a green one. Fruit for breakfast and salad for lunch. My hardest part was not grabbing the bottled dressing. In fact, one day, I absentmindly dipped a carrot in Ranch dressing (bottled) and almost gagged.

It is good knowing God is behind you, when the going gets tough, remind yourself of this! You will feel better and look better. And 30 days really isn't that long.

Blessings!

Hi livenraw. I am just about to go on a short fast. I have to give a talk on sunday at church and the subject is heavy. After the fast, I intend going 100% raw.

I'm eating raw 100% today, but I did jump off my raw horse for a few days.
