Does your water taste weird to you after you've fasted for awhile?

This is day 7 for me on my 9 day fast. I have been drinking water with freshly squeezed lemon in it. Today, it tastes very strange. I can't explain it. It just taste odd to me. So does the regular water. Is something going on with my tastebuds? I feel great! Just the weird water taste & that has NEVER happened to me before.

hm. i don't know what's going on. have you changed your water supplier? what's your source for water?

i've been water fasting for over 20 days now on purified/distilled water. the only time the water taste weird is when i haven't scraped the mucous off my tongue. :)

You could be detoxing. A lot of the toxins (like pharmaceutical drugs for example) are stored in fat cells, and when you fast, they empty into your blood stream. I had chemotherapy 6 years ago, which always left a metallic taste in my mouth. I always know when I get another dose of it from my fat cells, because the taste comes back. I distill my own water, so I know it's not a change in the water.

are you drinking tap water? cause honestly as you get 'cleaner' due to your fast you will begin to taste stuff that may be in your water that you wouldn't have noticed before! just another thought to toss into the pool of suggestions.

I just wanted to say Congrats on your progress so far!!! I am on day 3 today and will likely go for 2 more days, and then go to one meal a day over Christmas time and in to new year's.

I'm finding that I generally have that metallic taste in my mouth...although not today so far, and a clear pink tongue this morning which I am excited about. I feel Really good!
