hello,
i have an 11 month old and i'm currently pregnant again (2 months). i would like to ween my 11 month old soon from the boob, but still pump and supply her with my milk for nutrition. My question is....unless i dry up before giving birth will my new baby get colostrum when born? if not how long would i need to dry up for before i can count on new milk for the new little one? thanks!

Congrats! As far as I know, you can continue to breastfeed through pregnancy with no problem, and at some point, your milk will turn into colostrum to accomodate the new baby, as his/her needs take priority over the older one :) I've heard that this also can cause the older one to self-wean as the change to colustrum makes mom's milk taste funny.
