My husband left my Christmas gift in the wrong place and I found it....well actually I didn't know it was mine until he told me I saw my gift.

So, I looked up Wii exercises and saw some pretty good promos on balance exercise, step aerobics, boxing, cardio, etc. Does anyone else use the Wii Fit to supplement (or replace) their exericse routines?

If yes, what does your regime look like????

There was another thread on this very board recently. Scroll down. I read it all and immediately went and got one for my husband, who has other wii games and loves them. I'm hoping for good results for him. He's much more active in the sumer mnths, when we bike 75-100 mi./wk. I'm hoping the wii fit will keeep him in better shape during the "indoor"months. He's not interested in going to a gym or even working out in our ample rec room.

My mom has one. I use it about once a week because she lives in another city and that's how often we get out there. I mainly do the balance stuff. Some cardio. I have no interest in the boxing or most of the games. But I have done the golf and bowling. My mom and my daughter like to do the running and the stepping.

Yes, find that thread. I LOVE mine. It is HARD! I mean hard to balance, but now I'm applying it to my daily life...

I LOVE IT!

Cool!!! I think this is the first Christmas gift my husband gave me that I'll actually use a lot (that sounds horrible, eh:o) But usually, he doesn't do well in the gift giving department. He actually stopped buying gifts because he says "You're very difficult to buy for"; this is the first gift I've gotten in over 2 years! (that is horrible!!!)

Slip him a list! I'd prefer folks first off NOT to give me anything, but if they do, then I'll provide a list...

My boss gave me leather, fur-lined gloves one year! ARGH! I traded them for a shirt. And I told him. Last year I gave him a list and he was very appreciative...

...I'm the crazy kind of wife that would like to think that her husband knows her so well that he gives her the "just right" present. To give him a list sorta depresses me a bit. It makes me think, "well I know what gifts to give him, so how can he not know what to get me"??? <shrug> (Maybe I'm too nuerotic <shrug>).

In any case, he got me this. I didn't really want this as a gift per se (cause I didn't know what it was until I googled it), but after I read the reviews on how great it is and saw it in action on youtube...I told him that it was a very cool and unexpected gift.

I LOVE the wii fit! Hula Hooping for 10 minutes straight HAS to be good for the waistline!

Just turned mine on (went away for 6 days). Set it up with hubby and we tried it out. I can tell I'll enjoy it!!

I'm embarrased to say that my fitness age is almost 20 years older than I am now! I was shocked and at the same time shook my head in agreement. Sometimes I do feel that age!!! (I won't say the exact number in case I offend:p)

So, it looks like Wii Fit is what will get me started in 2009 on my exercise routines!
