Might these still be good? They have been in my fridge for *a while* - but have quarter size to playing card size splotches of mold on the outside.
I am not sure whether to make the mess opening them - or just tossing them.
Advice is requested :)

Mine do not last that long in the fridge but when I buy them I never take the reduced priced ones that have any signs of mold outside. I would just toss it
I know this doesn't help you this time, but I have very good luck freezing coconut. I open and blend the water and meat -or- some times I keep them seperate, just depends on my needs. *Ü*

I do the same thing. I can get the coconuts by the case at the local chinese market, and so if I don't freeze them, they go bad before I can use all of them.
We have at least a dozen Asian markets here in our town, I really want to check out their prices on coconuts! We currently pay $2.58 each at Winco. *Ü*
