Have you ever succeeded at Raw when everything was set against you? Please share your story with us!!!

Today it snowed like crazy in our parts and I made the whole family stew...in the crock pot...all day long. Followed by homemade chocolate chip/walnut cookies. I DIDN'T HAVE A SINGLE BITE!!!:D WOOHOO!
I am so proud of myself. I wasn't even tempted. I sat down after it all and had some broccoli slaw and a banana.
I have to say...this would not be the norm for me and so...I had to share my success!

Do any of you have stories like this to inspire us???

Not sure if this counts but...
I am part of a volunteer organization. We make gift packages and hand them out at a parade we host every year (this friday). Tonight we did the candy bags. Each kid is literally getting half a brown lunch sack full of candy.

Think of how much candy we had.

Half a lunch sack of candy x 500

Think of all of that chocolate ALL over the tables. It was literally PILED all over the tables.
Twix, Kit kats, NOM NOM NOM.

Not a bite.

Have you ever succeeded at Raw when everything was set against you? Yes, every single day for over 3 yrs. It's pretty amazing I've become and stayed raw.

A few years ago, I was snowed in and rapidly running out of fresh produce. I got a grocery store to deliver some to me. I was afraid it wouldn't be as nice as it would have been had I picked it out, but it was very nice, and I got some free food for my husband to eat as well.

Alas, the grocery store wised up and will no longer deliver in the snow. I'll have to be more careful now. It's supposed to snow this weekend.

Make sure you are stocked up with lots of green powders, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, and other non-perishables. Also, have lots of pure water stored away.

ShelShel, I totally can relate to this.....I cook dinner for my daughter and husband almost every night. And, if I might add, (modestly;)), I am an excellent cook! And then of course I have to make it look pretty, too. So NOT even tasting my delicious cooked creations challenges me on a regular basis!

Haha.. nom nom nom, I'm picturing various monster drawings pasted over drains and other pics that cry out for om nom nomification!

Shelshel, good work! I too have these moment, making stuff for my son. Right now I'm breezing through, mostly because his dad is out of the country and so not buying lots of crap (I literally dream of a raw kitchen and house, oh the sheer joy of that thought).

Each time you don't succumb is another little success you can be proud of!

I don't use green powders or much in the way of fruit, but I had the other stuff. Just nothing for salads and the like. I am going to the store this Friday because we are supposed to have snow over the weekend.
