I did really good all last week with staying really close to 100% Raw.
I felt so good and I was losing weight and had no problems with my bm's. Then on Sunday I gave in to eating a Beef Rib dinner with a baked potatoe ,shrimp and some wine :(
I felt so yuky the next day. My face was a bit puffy and bm's were lousy and had my usual heartburn.
You think I would learn and not give into this tempation
Will my desire for meat ever leave me :(

The yucky is your body telling you what your head doesn't want to hear.
I know all to well, your in my prayers.

Krystn, my advice is to get right back to the raw diet. Will you ever stop craving meat? I sure hope so. As a vegetarian for 14 years, the idea of it on anyone's plate, gets me nauseous.
But we all have to deal with cooked food cravings to various degrees. Most of us backslice and pay for it, just like you did. So, don't feel bad.
Good Luck.

Keep going...you can do it.

Hi Kristyn,
It took me 1 1/2 years to wean off of meat. It's been 3 years since I had any and I don't miss it at all. I have no desire to eat it at all. At first the smell of b-b-que meat smelled so good, but I didn't desire the meat. Now the smell doesn't temp me at all.
It may have taken me a while to get off of meat, but I did it slowly and I never felt deprived and the last meat I had, a piece of chicken 3 years ago this month was just naturally my last piece. At that time was eating meat about twice a month. I guess when a few weeks came around I just didn't have the desire to have any more meat.
So yes, the time will come.

I have been wondering the same thing. I also fight with cravings for meat, because my husband is a meat eater. I think I should have some great will power to stay away from it.
That eating meat will not help me feel good, look good or slow down the aging process.
It is a constant struggle for me. I hope that someday I will have no desire for the meat. I told RAW TRUTH that if I had never eaten meat in my life, it would have been far better for me, my husband and my baby.
If you never have the flavor of it, then you wouldnt have cravings for it. I hope that I have caught my baby quickly enough to keep her from the craving of meat.
Helen of Tennesse,
I am glad to hear that it take you a while to stop eating meat, because sometimes I just eat it. If it makes me feel bad or it smells unappealing then I wont eat it. I think the more times I get the yucky feeling, the better off I will be to avoid the food in the future.

Thanks for being so honest with us! It shows you real character of wanting to be raw and how much we admire people like you.
Perosnally, I don't think learning ever stops--I'm just sorry that you felt icky, lousy and stunted bm's--that really does it ;)
Here's great news.....you have your whole life to do raw and make it better from this moment on. You have every right to feel the way you do BUT you have every right to feel better--that is RAW better! :) :) :)
Raw Friends,
