Well, these aren't cultivated garden greens, just weeds growing in the back yard. They look like clover, but I think they have another name. They are quite common growing in lawns also, they have three heart shaped leaves, and have a yellow flower that shoots up out of them. Tend to take over lawns and yards when left untended (like my back yard) groan. I don't know if anyone knows what I am talking about. I was going to attach a photo, but I am clueless how to do that~~yess quite computer illiterate! Anyway, if someone knows, are these safe to use in green smoothies? Or if someone can tell me how to attach a photo, I can do that also.. I think....

I wouldn't just be picking weeds for My Smoothie. You need to buy a Book or better yet get a Video. Victoria B., The RAW Family, has a Video and there are snippets of it on youtube I think. Every weed is not ediable, so be careful.

You could google common weeds for your area and see what comes up, your answer maybe there.

Thanks... that's the reason that I haven't eaten them. I had a book by Victoria B's son that was mentioning various greens one can harvest and eat ( think they do that frequently), but that one wasn't in the book. I am leery of just picking anything and eating it, so I wasn't sure if other people did it, if they knew what they were doing. I think that I will just stick with the grocery store greens and leave the garden greens for pulling and disposing of...... what fun!!!!!

I know what you're describing, looks like clover with a tiny yellow flower, tastes sweet and lemony. I have been eating it for years, grandma taught me to forage for it. Try to find a local wild foods expert who can comfirm for you that they are edible (I can't tell for sure w/o a photo).

thanks rawstrength, I tried to post a photo, but as I said earlier, I am computer challenged and didn't know what the ???##? I was doing. I will eventually figure it out, I will take your advice and take the plant to a garden center or somewhere that I can find the name and look it up.
