does adding a green powder (or green food supplements) to water help alkalinize water?

i've been adding wheatgrass powder to water a lot lately - love it. not as potent as drinking wheatgrass juice, but i definately feel good when i drink it.

i think moreso the process of adding the green powders to the water alkalizes your body vs. the water. you would probably need to get an ionizer to alkalize your water or drink it directly from a spring. you can also alkalize your water by putting several wheatgrass blades, a small quartz crystal and a pinch of sea salt in a large glass jug of water - place it in the sun for a few hours and you've got wonderfully charged water. :)

What is the crystal you are referring to? And what do you do if there is no sun?
