Raw Brownies
By Shea
1 cup date paste*
1 1/4 cup raw almond butter
1 1/4 cup raw carob powder
1/3 cup honey

Mix and press into 9 x 9x square (pyrex) pan. Refridgerate at least one hour. Cut into squares.

* 1 lb dates = 1 cup date paste. Can use green life/green power or champion juicer with blank screen to make paste. (or purchase date paste)

You can run your dates through the food processor too if you don't have a juicer with solid plate.

There are pretty darn good [if I do say so]

Walnut Brownies:

1c raisons
1c walnuts
1t sea salt [opt]
4T well ground cacao nibs or carob [may need more carob I'm not sure how the measurements convert]
1/2c coconut flakes [optional but mighty tastey]

Mix well in food processor until forms ball but you can still see bits of the nuts. Press into a 8x8 pan. I enjoy these more when they're warm, when cold the raison flavor comes out more. If this recipe looks familiar it's because I started experimenting with Alissas date nut torte recipe. :)

Where do I find cacao nibs? I've soooo gotta get some of those!
