Why does everyone always talk about the taste and smell of durian, but not the texture?
I love the taste of durian, don't mind the smell, but hate the stringy texture. I've yet to have one with the texture of custard, all of my durians have had the texture of custard mixed with twine. I tried durian when I was in China and I didn't have a blender, so I didn't like it because the texture bothered me. I'd love to have a durian smoothie :) .

Totally! It is a bit stringy. A durian smoothie sounds good :)

Totally!
I love how there's the raw way of describing durian: sweet, but oniony, and then the SAD way of describing it...lol!
:D

I LOVE durian. I eat it frozen generally in ice cream or just eating it as is. I'm beyond the smell. Super delicious is all I can say. However, some hate it too.
