We usually do a sweet breakfast at our house...usually orange cinnamon rolls. I know there's a recipe (by Rawkinlocks I think?) around for cinnamon rolls. What other ideas do people have?

Huge fruit salad, with seasonal fruit like oranges, clementines, cranberries and pomegranate.
Ani Phyo's donut holes (youtube video).
Ani's Donut Holes are fantastic! We made them for Thanksgiving - everyone went nuts over them, they are so good. *Ü*

Fruit never impresses the rest of my family :(
But definitely the donut holes! I've made a modified version but I'll have to make the real thing! Thanks for the suggestion.
I love Alissa's strawberry crepes of course you could do any fruit topping.
Maraw has a great blueberry scone found here

How do you make oatmeal...I've never tried with oat groats. I used to just used oats and pretend they weren't steamed, but I know my body wouldn't fall for that anymore...
Ive made oatmeal a couple of different ways
Oat groats, soaked overnight
water for blending
Agave
Pinch Salt
Cinnamon
Raisins or fruit optional
Drain oats and put in vitamix with enough water to cover about 1/2 the oats. Blend slowly and add more water if needed until you reach a creamy consistency. Add in the rest of the ingredients.
Ive also used raw oats soaked and then drained, put into the vitamix with just a little warm water and some almond milk(just enough for blending). Blend in vitamix until desired consistency. Then add agave, salt, cinnamon and raisins. This recipe is more like SAD oatmeal to me but some folks find the raw oats bitter, I personally dont.

Actually, I too have soaked the raw oats for about 30 minutes, then I strain them and add fruit and almond milk. You can add a little sweetener if you want. I haven't mixed them in the vitamix, but just eat them like that, they are kinda firm and I haven't found them bitter. I had a friend eat these like that, and she said she liked them better that way that cooked oats.

Buckwheat makes a nice "oatmeal" type breakfast, too, just soak for 30 minutes, drain, rinse, blend, sweeten, add fruit/cinnamon.

At this time of year I love to get big boxes of oranges and have a big glass for breakfast. For my extended family that isn't raw or even vegetarian, this is a real treat.

I used to buy this Sweet Cream Cheese ALL the time and I can't remember the name......Anyway I made cheeze and put Dry Cranberries, which I ran through the Food Proccesor, in it and it tasted just like that Sweet Fruit Cheese I used to eat. It was really great on Crackers.

Do a search on this site for my donut holes. They are fantastic and I've had extremely good feedback on them. I like them better than Annie's (just a personal preference).

Not too long ago, I found a recipe for pancakes. I don't remember where I found it, but if you are interested, I will search my books etc.... and see if I can find it for you.
