Always sick after 1 raw meal??

My brother in law tells me that he would love to eat more raw foods except that every time he does he feels sick hours later. The next morning he says he feels like he has a hangover as if he had been drinking the night before ?!? :confused:

Anyone ever experienced this when first going raw? Or know anyone who suffers the same?

Is the raw meal usually the same thing? I wonder if he might be allergic to something raw that he might not be eating cooked? ANother thought, I also wonder if it is his body trying to detox after the one raw meal. I know if I eat alot of raw onions I feel sick to my stomach the whole next day. Good luck to him.
