I am very worried about my dehydrator. I was making chips and it was only on for an hour and a half and it just turned off. I have made chips before and had it on all day with out a problem. Is it dead or sleeping???

What kind is it? I seem to remember someone posting something similar, although maybe I'm confusing it with another applicance like a food procsessor.

Nesco. The motor must have overheated or something because it started working again later. weird.

Hmmm... I have a Nesco and it has never done that. *shrugs*

I don't get it either. All I can think is the location I had it in my kitchen was very small and in closed. When I was unloading the dishwasher and then the heat kicked on maybe it just got to warm for it! I don't know. But who cares.. it works!!!

Do you think your power was interupted? Every now and then ours go out.

I'd call the company and ask them what they think.
