hello everyone,

I just wanted to write something about my first two weeks raw.

I LOVE IT:)

Really, I told myself I would do it for 30 days and see what happens. Well 15 days in and I could not be happier. I lost 5lbs the first week and 4 the second week.

I can honestly say I don't have cravings hardly at all. I think I have had maybe two total and they were not bad.

My shirts fit better, my pants fit better and I feel better.

I have tried many diets and they never left me with that "feeling good" feeling. I feel that now it is amazing.

I am even really beginning to not view this as a diet. I now really do think of this as a change in eating habits. I am about 97% raw, some of the salad dressings I have used are store bought.

I don't know if I will be 100% all the time but I really believe that I will forever be at least 90% I mean I don't ever want to have anything cooked or processed for lunch or breakfast or snacks I would like to eat most all dinners raw and maybe once in a while have cooked

thanks for listening

VERY cool! Keep at it! It only gets better and better and then it becomes a total part of your life and you will think, "How did I ever manage before...?"

That's great news! I started raw in mid-November and have really enjoyed it too. Plus, I've dropped about 8 pounds so far without any effort at all. I eat everything I want and have tried a lot of different receipes. It's taken me a while to think ahead as far as sprouting, but otherwise, there are so many great fruits and vegetables to eat that it seems endless. Keep up the great work!

I have tried many diets and they never left me with that "feeling good" feeling.

I remember years ago when my dad dieted away a lot of weight going from about 220 to 155 and when he got to his goal he said in a disappointed way that he thought he would feel better at this weight but he felt worse. He was eating SAD and reflecting now on what he said then I think he would indeed have felt better if he had been feeding his body and mind with live raw foods instead of the dead SAD food.

If you have Alissa's book she has a dressing called ginger vinegarette which is really good and her dressing called Alissa's dressing is also good. The great thing about dressings is that they really only take maybe 5 minutes tops to make. You can also just squeeze some lemon, drizzle some olive oil, sprinkle a little salt and a bit of agave on top of your salad and you have a great dressing. I had a hard time getting past the dressing thing and once I realized how quick they are to make and got used to them....I now like them better than store dressings.

Recently I tried eating some small spinach leaves without any dressing. They tasted great without anything on them. Since then I have been eating some plain greens everyday. I find that since going all raw my tastes have been steadily evolving to where I like my simple raw foods more and more. Give yourself some time and see if you evolve too.
