Hello,

I am going to try to go raw next week. What I am wondering what percentage of fruits should I be eating? Is there something as too much fruits?

60-70% fruit is fine.

It's highly individual. Some people can eat lots of fruits, while others can eat none or almost none. Eat what you feel like eating, and eventually you will figure out what works for you.
Just look for the thread a while back that asks what the main part of your diet is. Some people eat fruits as the main part of their diet, maybe 80-90% of their intake. Others eat no fruit at all.
Finally, it depends on whether you are talking about sweet fruits or non-sweet fruits. Bananas, oranges, seedless grapes and dates are the sweetest of all fruits. Zucchinis and cucumbers are the least sweet of all fruits. Apples, pears and berries are somewhere in the middle. For example, I can eat many more tomatoes than bananas without getting a sugar rush, because tomatoes are less sweet than bananas. Personally, I can eat 4-5 bananas at once and that is my maximum for bananas. However, there are some raw athletes who will make a smoothie with twenty bananas in it and have that as their meal. If I drank a smoothie like that, I would feel sick, for sure. And there are some diabetics who can't tolerate bananas at all, and if they drank a twenty banana smoothie they would go into a diabetic coma and probably die. (I don't mean to scare you away from fruit! Fruit is awesome.)
If you get dizzy, light-headed, have a racing pulse, or get sugar "highs" and "lows," then that's how you know you have eaten too much fruit. But I'm sure you will stop eating fruit before you get to that point, as long as you are including other foods in your diet besides fruit.

Just the words "too much" means it's well, too much and that could be referring to anything. I'm not one of those who goes by the "moderation in everything" idea yet, there's a wide spread between mundane moderation and too much.

As RawStrength says, it's all individual. Just eat raw and your body will sort it all out as you go.
