View Full Version : my own raw business - Raw Beginning

Aleesha Sattva

So I've decided to take the plunge and start my own business to assist people to begin raw or simply add more raw into their diets. I meet with my clients for approx 3 hours twice, offer unlimited emails for 6 weeks and short phone calls to answer quick questions. ($100 Canadian)

I also give them a copy of my e-book and any future books I write. This first book is my simple, easy to make starter recipes. Some green smoothies that are sure to please the new-to-raw palette.

If someone wants to buy the book without hiring me... they can do that as well. ($10)

Anyway, I just thought I'd share. Making it public makes it real.

Well I don't want to charge too much, cause I want it to be affordable for people. :) So far all my clients have been freebies... just getting the word out there and also... I started assisting them and then thought... "I should do this... for real!"

Thanks for your support ladies *blush* I hope I live up to my own expectations.

Hurray for you Aleesha!!
So what do you do with them for the 6 hours? Just answering their questions or are you doing a teaching format? Maybe you could even streamline by having regular times you teach and have multiple people attend the sessions for multiple streams of income at once.
Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes!

ah thank you all (((hugs))) what a great thread to wake up to. (((hugs)))

So what do you do with them for the 6 hours? Just answering their questions or are you doing a teaching format? Maybe you could even streamline by having regular times you teach and have multiple people attend the sessions for multiple streams of income at once.

Actually I have no desire to teach multiple students at once. The way I teach (Reiki, Meditation and Tarot classes) is a more personal intimate format. I teach them what THEY need rather than a set 1-2-3.

In the 2 x 3 hour sessions I'll be talking to them about their needs and how raw foods can achieve what they require. If they want to learn how to make green smoothies, then we'll go into the kitchen and use my vita-mix. If they want to do a juice feast and don't have a juicer they can bring their apples etc. over and we'll juice them up, put them in jars and freeze them.

So far, my clients have brought specific questions with them and they all walked away at the end of the session saying, "Wow I got soooo much more out of this then I ever expected... thank you - I can do this!"

The reason I'm breaking it up into two sessions is because too much info in one bite is never digested... so I'd rather break it up and have them retain it. Also... they can walk away from session one and start raw. Then when we meet the second time we can discuss where they are and any obstacles they are experiencing. I can assist them to overcome hurdles and learn more info at a deeper level than in the first session.

All in all... it's about assisting people new to raw. I'm not at all focusing on people who are already raw unless it's just not working for them. I'm here to assist the newbies and wannabees.

I still have to get pamphlets and a website set up for this. Thanks for asking questions cause it helps me to form my info for my site page (((hugs)))

Hi Aleesha,
Wow, girlfriend. Go for it!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you the best my dear friend. I'm certain you do best at whatever you put your mind to. I learn best one-on-one and group class is great, but a mentor is even better. I have spent a fortune, not on raw classes and have lacked the mentor that I now realize thousands later. Keep us posted. I'm excited this adds to your lit fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,

Oh, have business cards with you at all times and use the time on your side to give them to everyone who comes within feet of you. No kidding. You RAWK and they need to know about you.

What about newspaper blurb on your new business?????????????

What about Craigs list for one to one coaching on "transitional" diet. Do you think the word raw is vital here but transitional you can still share the same message but maybe in a gentler words (transitional).

Just a thought. Off to gym.

Well I'm looking for local people... so I'm making a poster for the health food stores in my area... stuff like that as well. :)

And I'll get clients from word of mouth... I trust that. That's how I get my Reiki students etc. I'm not looking for 100 clients a month or anything like that. I just want to get paid for my time as I've been coaching/assisting people for about a year now for free.

But I like your ideas and will add them as well (((hugs)))

from my personal experience, you, of all people, can definitely do this! you have been so helpful to me on my fasting journey.

i really like the fact that you are into the 1-2-3 step process but instead will be more attentive to each individual needs. congratulations on getting started. let us know how it all goes, and if you have any tips for us, too. ;)

You have no idea how many people I've done this for and how many have asked me if they can as well. I figure... sure no problem at all. My champion can handle it! :D

Besides, once they begin to add fresh juices into their life and body... they seldom want to stop! Buying their own juicer becomes part of their budget... but until then... I'm happy to assist!

Well it takes time to learn all about raw foods and experience to discover what doesn't (for each of us) and I'm happy to shorten the learning process by a few hundred hours for my clients. They still need to learn for themselves but having someone with knowledge to say... "oh try this instead" is so helpful. I would have loved that kind of support when I started out.

I was blessed with Melissa becoming my raw food coach and once she came into my life... my ability to be raw became so much simpler.

*yaaaaaaaaaaa RAW*

my e-book is available through paypal. you just send payment and i'll email you the book. it's for newbies though... not for anyone who's been on the path for awhile. (just warning you... it's got some really easy recipes, simple desserts, green smoothies and fruit smoothies in it. nothing fancy at all... it's all about making it simple)

go to my blog for more info: http://aleeshasrawlife.blogspot.com/
