I tried my Blendtec's soup cook cycle (It also has a Hot Chocolate cycle by the way) and it's incredible how it can made a soup come out steaming hot in 90 seconds (I know, I know! But I had to try it). I will for sure use this but stopping it prematurely to warm my soups without cooking them especially in winter time. Does anyone else use their high speed blender to warm up soups?

Yes I own a Vitamix and love to use it to make soup and warm it up in there

I use my vitamix to warm up soups. It takes a bit longer, which is great with me, because I don't want it to cook before I have the chance to turn it off.
Although, last I made a pasta sauce, I heated it over LOW heat on the element (didn't even get hot spots! yay!) because it was too early to make such racket!

When heating on an element make sure to constantly mix it otherwise the layer on the bottom where the heat comes from will cook while the rest stays cold/raw.

Definitely :) Thank you
I was stirring with a spatula around a thermometre :P Difficult, but kinda fun. I actually think I may be using this method more.

Yes, it is noisy warming a soup in the blender lol. But it makes one less thing to clean.

I let some soups warm up in the vitamix, depends on the type of soup. It doesn't take long to heat up. I use an instant read (meat) thermometer to check the temp. When your used to eating cold food, 95 degrees is plenty warm. Warm soups and cacao nuts milks are just what I need here in the Northwest to get through the winter.

Rawknitster, I noticed that, too! I ate soup yesterday at 95F, and was surprised at how warm it was!

I've made hot chocolates in mine too, I actually intentionally let them get steaming hot as I'm not 100% raw and it doesn't cause as much damage as cooking something in the oven for example. This will be great for winter.
