I have seen a couple of recipes that ask for chickpea miso. Is this something you buy, or do you make it? If you make it at home, would somebody give me the recipe please.
Thanks, Linda

You have to buy it - it takes 5 years to make!

where does one buy this stuff? I haven't seen it at whole foods, or a place near me called berkeley bowl that sells a lot of organic products. Do I have to order it online?

I got it online. I can't remember the name of the company. But it turns out I didn't like the stuff. Tasted nasty to me.

Does anyone know if that is actually raw?

Eva,

Don't think any of the miso's is considered "raw" since they are derived from cooked soybeans. From all I've read, unpasturized miso is a "living food." I use several different varieties, buy have not tried the chickpea one. Curious of the taste difference from white or yellow.

Miso isn't raw but it's considered a living food.

The only thing to watch about MISO is to make sure it indicate on the package that it hasn't been pasteurize. If this is pasteurize then this isn't a living food anymore.
