I can't take the PAIN anymore. EVERY TIME I eat I am in pain. SO, no more eating til I get this figured out. lol! Enzymes *help* but last night I ate a salad, took 2 very powerful enzymes and was still bloated to the point of having to curl up in bed. It took HOURS for it to go away. So, back to fasting until I can figure out what the heck is going on. I bought HCL, and have taken it 2x, but that seems to have made it a little worse. I'm just going to live on juice and tea for now. :(

try to just do the juice for awhile... it may heal what is ailing your without you even having to figure out what is/was causing the pain.

lots of green juices are healing
lots of fruit juices are cleansing.

i would go for the healing juices myself.

(((hugs)))

ALeeesha!!! So glad to see you here!

Zaphiarah, I agree, enzymes are "helpful" but in the long run, they interfere with the body's natural ability to digest.

What kind of pain? Upper or lower stomach? Have you been having this issue for awhile?

Tea can be discouraging due to its tannins. Do your best to be restful and calm b/c that interferes with digestion and the acid production.

Pure bliss,
Misslinda

misslinda! hello! How are you my dear? (you may remember me as Purl).

Can you expand on the idea that enzymes interfere with digestion in the long run. This may be my prob...

things are slowly improving altho I am not 100% raw right now. I am 90% or so and eating very little. but the pain is subsiding, altho the bloat is still there. Frustrating but tolerable.

Zaph,
Sorry to hear about the pain issue. Lower/upper pain? Gas pains? Are you noticing it after any particular foods? Since you are not doing 100% raw, how about something like miso/ginger broth? Don't cook miso but when broth cools add it lastly. May try that a few times per day. Also I remember my macro days maybe cooking up some gluten free brown rice and then adding this into soup. I am thinking easy on the tummy foods.

Would you consider a cleanse? My daughter is doing very well on http://humaworm.com/. I think someone here recommended and thanks to them it's working without any signs of pain. You can eat too during cleanse.

curezone.com has site for this cleanse too.

She had crohn's and IBD together with 3 invasive parasites. She has been going for NAET, allergy elimination acupuncture and so far after 14 months she is eating fresh raw salads--something that was impossible. She tried green drink for 3 days when diagnosed per Paul Nison's suggestions and it tore her up. Her tummy and intestines were so sensitive.

Feel great and please keep us posted. I'm sorry about the pain you are experiencing. Bummer but your best days are still ahead!!!!!!!!

Pain and bloating? You may be interested in Coca's pulse test. It'll help you eliminate the foods which your body just doesn't like. It'll take some time but extremely well worth it. Even on raw, I suspect lots of people are still eating the foods they're allergic to simply because those foods don't trigger a severe allergic reaction right away, but the adverse effects they have on the body do accumulate over time. There are some raw foodists who look extremely unhealthy to me, and they're asking "why?".

I would ditch anything that comes in a bottle and isn't a fruit or veggie really. To me, they're like crutches to the body. One can get plenty of enzyme just by mixing the food with saliva. Chew, chew, chew or swirl around in your mouth if juicing. :D

Feel better soon, hun! :o

What's Coca's pulse test?

Coca's pulse test is one method a person can self-administer in order to detect which foods they are allergic to. The test involves eating only foods that one absolutely knows they are not allergic to. Which I'm not sure if many are sure, that's where fasting comes in. :) Then checking their resting pulse rate against their pulse rate after consuming foods they have a suspicion of being allergic to. If the pulse rate increases more than 12 beats, the person is likely allergic to whatever food they just ate.

This method takes some time, since a person will have to add in one food at a time to figure out whether it's safe or not.

Found link by google, but would love for Oai to share more wisdom. Thanks for this knowledge. Never heard about this before. I tested super allergeric to everything and decided on NAET when daughter had crohns and IBD diagnosis about 14 months or so ago. I never noticed problem. Hoping my tongue can get used to hot foods again as it burns the tongue like crazy...even a pinch.
