I am allergic to:

Wheat (gluten)
oats
barley
corn (anything with high fructose corn syrup in it)
All Dairy
ALL NUTS (so allergic, I cannot be touched by someone who recently handled nuts)
Most seeds not sure about flax or hemp. I have tried flax, Makes me nauseous but I am not sure that is an allergy.

I found out about this at the age of 3, I Was kept away from all of these things. I am 22 now and have been to the hospital 4 times due to experimentation and 1 being an accident (bf ate PB and then kissed me).

prior to raw (im on day 5 100%) I only ate fruits and veggies cooked and raw, Nothing processed (sauces etc) and rice (always a vegan).

I have read on here that people have gotten rid of allergies by going raw. but Mine are so severe I dont know if thats possible. I was told if I kept all things I was allergic to out of my diet I could grow out of em. I havent grown out of any, even the ones I was least allergic to.

has anyone done this long term and not gotten rid of allergies? I dont even know if that could be answered. Im not doing this to get rid of my allergies or lose weight. Its the next step to better health. I just dont want to have too high of hopes and get shut down!

I think I am feelin a little down/lonely about entering an entire new world (raw) that is so different from most peoples with the lack in food choices I have.

My only advice is to focus on what you can have, there are plenty of things in which you can get creative.
Best of luck. - You can do it!

Lucky for you, most of those things are not included in most people's raw food program. Personally, I rarely eat nuts, flax or hemp and wheat, oats, barely and corn are certainly non-essentials. Dairy's a no-no.

What you're looking to do here is build and strengthen your immune system. As someone else said, focus on what you can have, not what you can't. Buckwheat? That can replace nuts. Can you have seeds? Sunflower? sesame? How about raisins and dates? Those things along with fruits, veggies and greens will take you a long way to becoming healthier.

Since eating raw I've been able to eat oranges, strawberries and grapefruit with no ill effects. Almonds are o.k. if I soak for over 8 hours or so.

Organic may work better for you than non in some cases.

Enjoy!
