Good Morning everyone -

I bought a dehydrator from Alissas site a few weeks back maybe - my mom took it over her BF house to make up some things for me with Alissas book and some recipes I got off internet...she made fruit leathers which came out awesome and I am going to go over tomorrow and throw in some fried onion rings.....she will be home (our apt) next week - was wondering if anybody had any simple & tasty ideas or recipes that are very basic and simple to make - been alittle bored with the same food I am eating which is my fault but need to make some things and have them stored and ready for me...so if anyone has any ideas or recipes they may have come up with please post them - it would be greatly appreciated.

I have come SO far since Sept 2nd - losing 35 pounds, going to gym 4-5 days a week, losing inches galor, feeling so much healthier, getting around better due to arthritis in knees, blood thinner went down twice and stayed there, walked all over NH with mother and some women on shopping trip - never could do all the walking and shopping due to SO much and the arthritis in knees hurt SO bad...but did it all and was excited due to been going on this trip for the past 5 years and this year was the only time I could do it all....so all the health ailments switching over is amazing...now just waiting for thyroid to get better and meds decrease right Lucy

Thanks everyone for your help as always

Sandy

I pulled these out of another thread. They are Sarma's recipes from RFRW

Blonde Macroons

3 cups died, unsweetened coconut flakes
1 1/2 cup fine almond flour
1 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup coconut butter
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 t sea salt

1. in a large bowl, combine all the ingredient and stir well to combine. you can also use a standing mixer with the paddle attachment.

2. using a small ice cream scoop, your hands, or a big tablespoon, spoon rounds of the dough onto dehydrator screens. if you are using your hands, it helps to refrigerate the mix a bit prior to forming the macaroons. Dehydrate at 115 or 12 to 24 hours, or until crisp on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside.

Chocolate Macroons

3 C dried unsweetened coconut flakes
1 1/2 C cocoa powder (I used cacao)
1 C maple syrup
1/3 C coconut butter (I used the creme de coco virgin kind, and melted it in my dehydtrator first)
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt

In large bowl or standing mixer combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Using a small ice cream scoop (I used a cookie scoop it worked beautifully) your hands or a big tablespoon, spoon rounds of dough onto teflex or parchment paper.
Dehydrate at 115 degrees for 12-24 hrs or until crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside (I did 105 degrees, and I just passed the 24 hr mark)

Also try this recipe for a crispy chip
