Good Morning everyone -

I bought a dehydrator from Alissas site a few weeks back maybe - my mom took it over her BF house to make up some things for me with Alissas book and some recipes I got off internet...she made fruit leathers which came out awesome and I am going to go over tomorrow and throw in some fried onion rings.....she will be home (our apt) next week - was wondering if anybody had any simple & tasty ideas or recipes that are very basic and simple to make - been alittle bored with the same food I am eating which is my fault but need to make some things and have them stored and ready for me...so if anyone has any ideas or recipes they may have come up with please post them - it would be greatly appreciated.

I have come SO far since Sept 2nd - losing 35 pounds, going to gym 4-5 days a week, losing inches galor, feeling so much healthier, getting around better due to arthritis in knees, blood thinner went down twice and stayed there, walked all over NH with mother and some women on shopping trip - never could do all the walking and shopping due to SO much and the arthritis in knees hurt SO bad...but did it all and was excited due to been going on this trip for the past 5 years and this year was the only time I could do it all....so all the health ailments switching over is amazing...now just waiting for thyroid to get better and meds decrease right Lucy :)

Thanks everyone for your help as always

Sandy

I hear that Matt Amsden Rawvolution's onion bread is totally awesome-I do not have a dehydrator so I have not tried to make it myself but the other recipes that I can make in my Vitamix have been really good and pretty easy.

I just whipped up a batch of Alissa's carrot/pecan burgers. They are so easy and sooo good. That with onion bread, sprouts, and tomato - YOW-ZERS!

Alissa's chocolate turtles? Yum-oh too!

and yes, you HAVE come far - WAY TO GO GIRL! Keep on keeping on!!!

I like to make huge batches of tweaked up (less Shoyu = less salty and rich) onion bread so that I can have sandwiches. I never get sick of sandwiches, it seems.
Also if you make the onion bread as is in the original recipe, it tastes pretty much like onion rings. Yum.
Kale chips are easy to make and can be made a million different ways - Chrissy's Goddess Chips style, just salt and oil, barbecue, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Oh, and "green popcorn" from Phil McCluskey is one of our favorite snacks - it's just cauliflower broken up, a little oil to coat, and then sprinkled generously with sea or pink salt, nutritional yeast, and spirulina. So good. So, so good.

goneraw.com has a million recipes you could peruse for ideas, too.

You are kicking butt, btw! w00t w00t!

What can you substitue for the Shoyu or Braggs to the recipe - would water be good with some sea salt? I know it would have to be a liquid form...

Thanks

Yeah, definitely, you can just cut the shoyu or Bragg's with water, or use water and a little sea salt instead.

Definitely try the Almond Butter Balls in Alissa's book. My kids love them (and so do I). They are a nice little snack and very tasty. I also took the recipe one step further and rolled the butter balls in raw coconut. Delicious!!!

Nope, sorry, not off hand. The burgers I think on 385 and the turtles, not sure...
