Hi there!! This is for members in the Lower Mainland of BC, including Vancouver, Hope, Chilliwack, Agassiz, Mission, Abbotsford, Langley, Burnaby, PoCo, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, etc etc etc etc.

There is a lovely organic foods deliver service called Ladybug Organics! Prices are pretty standard, pretty low for some, and they deliver right to your door. It's sort of like a co-op. Tomorrow is my first delivery from them, but I am very excited!! All sorts of stuff I have never been able to find organic! They sell mana bread, too. They sell Lara Bars, Rebars, and a bunch of stuff I'm still browsing. Great find! It's going to save me a tonne on gas and money, as I won't be buying everything in the store or spending hours searching for produce that hasn't gone bad!

Not only that, but they support local businesses and farms.

Check them out! Very cool!

Awesome!

How do you like them, Aleesha?

it was okay... but honestly i like to choose my own produce. nothing worse than getting a $3 head of lettuce that isn't even big enough to make a salad for one person! and yup, it happens.

their apples are amazing though.

I love LadyBug Organics most of the time but like Aleesha I also have to choose some of my own produce since we've gotten some rotten fruit and tiny, weak kale and celery :(
I haven't been able to order celery, and most fruit from them anymore.
We mostly order produce like apples, pears, lemons.. stuff that doesn't go bad that quick.
But the times that we did get rotten fruit they were great about it and replaced them!

Well good that they replaced them! Yes they have a great return policy.

My first order from them was fantastic. HUGE celery, huge kales and collards and chards. Everything was HUGE!

And the crazy thing is, I'm saving $40/week, and that is assuming I were to buy non organic groceries for the week (also keep in mind this is for myself and my 5-6000 cal/day bf!). I love that everything is organic, and we're saving money, and the produce keeps longer, and is better quality, and tastes better. The tomatoes are delicious. Yellow outside, the most psychadelic orange/red inside! YUM!

Ha, blissing out on food again :P

By the way, RawSar, whereabouts are you?

oh ya their return policy is GREAT. no problems there. it's just... after you send them an email for the 10th time... you start to feel like you are ripping them off... at least i did. this is part of the reason i stopped ordering from them. i felt uncomfy telling them the produce wasn't up to my standards.

(for example: large pineapple on order sheet... it came... it was maybe 3" tall LOL)

You're kidding! Large being 3" tall??? Yikes!

Ya and my boyfriend is not the type who likes to complain about stuff so when we do get the produce that's not up to our standards he just wants me to throw it all out and not complain and to just buy that kind elsewhere. I should really write them e-mails though because yes, they are good about returns.
I think I will order more then I usually do next time now ! Thanks :) hahaha...
It'll save me a trip into town - Coquitlam .
I just moved here a little over a year ago from Mission :)

No way, from Mission? I'm IN MIssion, from Deroche! My cousin-in-law lives in Coquitlam. How are you liking it?

I'm finding more and more people in my general area who are raw! Very cool :)

Yes I grew up in Mission, out towards Hayward is where I grew up. In the bush. It was nice and quiet. I'm friends with a couple who just moved to Deroche about a year ago. Very quiet out that way too!
I love Coquitlam. I'm about 10min drive away from Coquitlam Center, so far enough from the noise but I do have neighbors! This I am not use to haha..

How long have you lived in Deroche for?

Well, I grew up in Deroche, and lived there a good 20 years. Only moved to Mission almost two years ago :)

Strange! I wonder, did your friends move to Bergen Rd?? Or is that better left for a PM?
