I wish I could remember where I saw this idea so I could give the proper credit, but I can't. I dehydrated some celery and then whizzed it in the blender. It makes the greatest tasting "salt." I don't think it would work in recipes, but it's great on sliced tomatoes, avocado, etc. Thanks to whomever posted the idea!

Yep, I started doing that a few months ago when I got loads of celery in the half price area of my farm store. That might be where you found out about that. I use it in soups and salads, and anything else where I would normally use salt. I grind it in my coffee grinder. The nice thing is that it doesn't matter, if the celery is already a little too limp to use in a salad.
