ALL raw, including GS. I even resorted to trying some cooked starches (br rice/air popped popcorn). There was no diff. I am taking enzymes. and that helps *a little*. I do not feel led to fast, and in fact, altho I have fasted many times, it seems as if this last fast went terribly wrong somehow. That's when all the trouble started and I feel/look worse than I have in a long while.

I am retaining water, have abdomenal bloating, dry skin, and fatigue. I don't know what to do. My appetite is still there-and I getr super hungry, then eat, then feel like crud for a couple of hours. I'm at a total loss. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.

Yuck! Could you be pregnant? How about ginger? Try adding some of that to some water....

OK, dunno if this is good advice or not.. but a few times in the past when I thought I was going to throw up, I took CLAY, and it settled my stomach... I dont know it was a special kind though; it wasnt just bentonite, it was something I got at the green festival from this guy and it was called healing living clay or something. maybe it was just bentonite with a fancy label and fancy schmancy hype literature, i dunno. this guy took it every day, which i would never do because it takes minerals out with it... and i didnt buy it specifically to use for nausea.... but i ended up making a liquidy clay mixture and taking some of it and it always worked for upset tummy....

i take it you cant find ANYTHING that you want to eat and can eat and doesnt make you feel sick? even one or 2 types of fruit? if you can then i would just stick to that for a few days and see if it settles itself...otherwise..i dunno...... naturopath?

The first thing that pops into my head is "colonic."

If that didn't help, I might think about seeing a naturopath. It sounds like something is wrong - I mean, I know something's wrong, but that sounds a little distressing to me, almost like an intestinal blockage of some kind or something (and obviously, I'm not a doctor and I'm not trying to diagnose you, that's just what comes into my mind) which I don't say to alarm you, it's just that as you describe it, it seems to me like something to be concerned about. Of course only you can judge the severity of what's going on with your own body. :)

Hope it's all resolved and you're feeling tip-top, soon.

Have you tried larger amounts of enzymes, food combining, probiotics, increasing water intake? Colonics could help too as maybe the fast couldn't work on it's own if you're real toxic.

What's your daily diet looking like?

what happened with your last fast that makes you think it went all wrong? maybe we can find something there.

when i read nauseas, i immediately thought a lot of toxins, specifically toxic discharges from the gallbladder. try drinking lots of pure water and herbal teas (uncooked of course. leave cup by window w/ sun) to dilute the toxins. slowly drink.

also, you might consider self-administering an enema to assist your body with the toxins. i'm really thinking gall-bladder problems... somehow it got infected, blocked, compromised somehow.... if you do an enema, don't drink anything at least an hour beforehand. drink juice & water afterwards.

you mention not wanting to fast. perhaps be more cautious of your food combining to aid in digestion until this symptom goes away, and you feel better.

finally, hun, rest. lie down if you are feeling nauseas. don't eat/drink anything unless you are really hungry. assist your body by not doing anything and just relax.

hope you get better soon! :)

It's likely that the cause is stress. Have you been under a lot more stress the past two weeks? Or asserting your power, standing your ground? The stomach and digestive system are closely linked to the third chakra which is located near your naval. It's also known as the energy power center for the body where energy is distributed. When it's out of balance it can lead to digestion problems. Just something to consider. Suggestions: Maybe treat yourself to some me-time pampering, for example a soothing massage, walk in nature or do something that you love. Take a hot epsom salt or sea salt bath - toss in your favorite essential oil. Ylang ylang, clary sage and/or lavendar are wonderful to eradicate stress. Relax and breathe. It will pass.

Probiotics, that is the first thing that came up in my mind. Try to find a good quality one.
Or like Oai said; it could be the gallblader ?
