HI All
It has been some time since ive been in here and I clearly remember seeing a specific member in here who posted her before/after pictures and she lost a lot of weight doing raw.

Well I happened to be on myspace tonight and there was this banner with her pictures and I totlaly remembered her.

Anyway I am in no way promoting this website at ALL however, I dont know if the member who posted her pictures in the before/after from Raw Food weight loss is aware that this website has her pictures:

http://www.thisgirlsweightloss.com/?t202id=8522&t202kw=B3Ban15

It could be none of my business but in the internet age someone can easily steal a photo. just a warning.
Some of you may recognize her as there was a long thread of her progress on Raw Food Diet. But I CLEARLY remember that this person was a member here in Raw Food Talk Forum and wanted to pass on a warning.

If anyone knows who this member is and if she isnt aware of this please pass this on to her.

thanks

Uh oh, this sounds familiar (crevax).

http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=41723&highlight=crevax

Oh, yes, I see that the very first photo at thisgirlsweightloss used to also be on the crevax website. Archived crevax page HERE (http://justmyfolder.com/page2.jpg) (scroll about 4/5 of the way down to see the same photos)

At crevax, she was known as "Sheila N".
At thisgirlsweightloss, she is known as "Sarah Collier".

Nothing suspicious there ;)

Photoshop: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/photoshop/ht/apswatermark.htm
Paintshop Pro: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/paintshoppro/ht/pspwatermark.htm

If you don't have a program, you can watermark them for free on the following web site: http://picmarkr.com/

I would highly recommend for any person, that if they do not want to have their face posted somewhere to sell drugs without permission, that any photos be watermarked in an area where cropping would be impossible. (i.e. if you put it small at the very bottom, the perp could just crop the photo and still use it!)

This is so lame. People never cease to amaze me. That's why we all have to assume the boogie man is out there and take precautions accordingly. Be smart about this, you sexy "after" photo people! ;):D

These should really be reported to police and Better Business Bureau. Please, all of you who's identities have been stolen by these fraudulent businesses, file a report. It takes only a few minutes. This is a) identity theft b) false advertising

OK, i know none of this is funny, but it DOES say something great about raw foods when people are trolling raw foods sites for before and afters; i.e. that raw really works, and that people recognize it because the proof is in the pics. i.e. the fact that theyre looking on raw foods sites must indicate that they recognize that the raw foods lifestyle WORKS, and that it results in glowing, beautiful people...

There was a story on the local news last night about identity theft using photos. People's photos are being used on dating, pornography and sex websites and chatlines.

We had an experience last summer that really shook me up. I was on a beach with my daughter and 3 granddaughters. I was in the water and my daughter was playing in the sand with the three girls. Suddenly, these two oriental teenage girls came up and started snapping pictures of the little 4-year-old, saying she was so beautiful, and were gone before my daughter could even react. I couldn't get out of the water fast enough, or I would have tackled the girl with the camera and destroyed it. I spoke with the police afterwards and they said this happens and then often the pictures show up on child pornography websites. How scarey is that? It terrifies me. I will never put another picture on the computer.

This is disturbing. Is there anyway to delete our pics off of this website? :(

If it's your posts, yes, you can access and delete posts with photos. Go to User CP (up in the green bar up top?), then scroll down, click on Miscellaneous, then Attachments and you'll see your lists of photos...

The comments on that site about the products are probably fake, too.

How are you guys coming across the sites? There are so many out there. Maybe someone can make a list of the sites on the web & trash them. I'm glad those who have found their pics, on other sites, took the initiative to also write about the incident. so anyone can easily search if the site and products are legit.

Sadly, most people don't research products before buying. :o

I just have to chime in here... do you all really think people actually think any of those photos on the weight loss sites are real??? If they do... then they are simply daft (to put it mildly)...

Between photoshop to enhance and slim pics... and stealing photos... I can't imagine why anyone would even believe it.

I'm leaving my photos here... because I honestly believe the amount of people our photos HELP... greatly outweighs any risk I feel about someone using them for false advertising.

I so agree. I'm leaving mine here because shoot! By the time we've "discovered" these web sites, those photos of "us" have all been snatched. ANY publicity is good. It gets peoples' curiosity going...

And I agree w/my bud Aleesha if anyone think "those" photographs (the doctored ones, not our true ones) are real - well, I've got some ocean front property in Nevada for sale! Cheap!

Well said Aleesha and I feel the same way. It is someone elses pictures that were posted on Alissa's site that motivated me to start this lifestyle and I will leave my pictures here as well because I know pictures inspire people when they truely see what raw foods can do for them. However, I would still like to know if my picture was being used somewhere without my permisssion.

I was at health food store yesterday. Sometimes they reduce their organics. When I was paying they crossed out the discount label. I thought that was strange. The thieves that made purchases, empty their bags at home, bring back their bag with the label that was NOT marked out and fill up their bags all for that $1 per bag. So the store caught on and now writing through the label so they can't continue to be another theft out their.

This store sells only organic produce.
Vitamin Cottage if you have one near you.
