Okay I know... you are saying "liquid fibre fast" what the heck is Aleesha doing now???

Well I decided, on the way home from Mom's house last night - I had to go down to clear the rest of her things and do more paper work (she passed away a week ago)... that I needed to ground myself and inject a huge amount of nutrients into my body in the most gentle loving way possible. I came up with this idea and began this morning.

I am blending green or fruit smoothies... or soup (all raw of course) - drinking juices and water. Don't know how long I'll do this but I'm thinking perhaps a few weeks. I figure it's also a good way to do a little cleansing before the onslaught of Yule/Christmas parties coming up.

So... anyone interested in joining me? My hubby and I are starting today.

This morning I made:

kale, banana and frozen cranberry with hemp oil smoothie. tasted a little... less than appealing but it went down LOL I drank the first 500 ml (2 cups) and saved the other two for after yoga.

So... I'm not removing the fibre... but I am fasting (since fasting is abstaining from anything you would normally ingest [or do]).

in light,
Aleesha

when i feel i need to chew because my teeth are feeling loose (which is what happens for me)... then i get some fresh coconut and chew it... and chew it and chew it and chew it... then i spit it all out. it tightens everything up nicely for me. :)

oh honey... i have two fridges... both with freezers on top and a huge stand up freezer and another smaller freezer. no lack of space here!!! i want to save up the bounty of the harvest to last me through the winter after all. fruit is soooo inexpensive in august and sept... but so expensive in january. i have enough to last me till march!

ah-ha! that explains it! :p

a few weeks ago, my local asian market had oranges on sale for 15/$1. they were super ripe and would last just that day. i wanted to buy the whole barrel!!!!!!! then i thought about my freezer. lugged over 45 oranges to the register anyway. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u103/tphimm/foxes_121.gif

how is the hubby doing on the fast?

Thats a great idea. I will join for a couple of days. I am going out of town for Thanksgiving, so I won't be able to keep it up. I made the decision to allow some cooked vegan food for the holiday. I plan to take along my VM and juicer and introduce some raw foods to my family.

If you are still doing this next week, I will definately join it. I've been wanting to do a juice fast, but stesses got in the way. My body is also not wanting to fast right now. I am doing a lot of weight lifting and I must be building muscle, so my body is screaming for more nutrients especially when I fast.

I'm no longer fasting. just taking it easy... drinking lots of smoothies and juices but also eating.

yup, just taking it easy. after fasting for most of this year (started in march)... it's nice to just relax and not worry about what i'm eating. or rather... relax and eat LOL
