Thank you soo much

I'm not a doctor, but hair often falls out when a person is hypothyroid.

that did happen to me. are you eating enough calories? if you are not eating enough calories a very low fat low calorie diet will make your hair fall out if you are predisposed to it.
i would talk to someone that knows more about these things you definitely dont want your hair to fall out it took forever for mine to grow back and it never came back all the way. so get it sorted out ASAP!

Hello there,
As long as you are eating enough calories to maintain a healthy weight, it is very unlikely that you are deficient in anything that could be causing hair loss. Many raw foodists experience a period of shedding much more hair than they are used to and it is thought to be part of the detox process. Don't stress about it, just make sure you are eating enough and eating a decent variety of food.
Blessings,

I was thinking about hypothyroid too. Or lacking vitamine Bs or stress ?.
I would get in checked out, it might be detox, but just to be on the safe side I would get it checked out if I was you.

Hi MissGabbyGrl,
Without knowing your specifics it's hard to tell. Could be stress as earlier mentioned.
The big one I would point out is FAT - are you getting enough healthy fat(s)?
You may want to up your fat intake and see if there is an improvement over a couple weeks. Avo's, coco's, hemp, flax, olive... seek variety and rotate.
I take a teaspoon of flax or coco oil before bed as a good measure in addition to whatever good fat I consume during the day. When I don't, I notice my skin does downhill fast.

on raw forums over the past several years ive seen at least a hundred women get into this topic in depth and its common . the process can last up to 2 years ive seen it said . detox / the body changing over to existing on different cell fuel types / etc , im not sure the why . but im sure ive seen many say their hair eventually comes back thicker / fuller :)
and if i remember correctly in my reading one help is said to be coconut oil , ingested .
and maybe cukes for the i think silica is said to help , not sure though because with my hair style the topic didnt interest me too much ;)

It's funny you say this, within the past few months my hair had been shedding like CRAZY! My fiance was complaining because my hair was all over the couch, the car, etc. I would lose 5-10 hairs everytime I ran my fingers through my hair. Now my hair is very full and i've been shedding a normal amount. I have been growing my hair out and when I was shedding so much it seemed to slow down/stop growing. In the past month is has grown a lot.

Hair Falling could be due to so many factors. Ok, did you have this problem before raw food? If not, this is because you are detoxing. Try to avoid gaz created by food fermentation by making little change with food combining. Wait long enough before your next meal to digest fully. Chew throughly and slowly. Doing all of this, will avoid fermentation.
Thing will settle down. If you are a mineral deficient, one of the first factor, you will see hair lost. Nervousness will cause that. B12 or Iron deficiency can cause this.
If your nurse, it cans do this. Etc... If you have any beginning of a health condition, it could be a hint with your hair lost.
The good news with raw food, you don't need to worry about this, it will settle down. I was loosing my hair a lot and now, it is settle down. On your shower, install a chlorine filter.
Consider to increase your greens or even supplement with angstrom size mineral, the only mineral that your body can absorb. Just google to find different company that sell that.
On raw food, when your detoxing a lot, it cans cause hair lost but this will be temporary.
If you have been having hair lost for while, i would go for a general check up.
Best wishes!

Hair problems can be a detox symptom. My hair didn't fall out, but it went through a crazy greasy phase that was really quite yucky and distressing. Now my hair looks better than ever.

thank you so much, I have recently recovered from an eating disorder which could be a major factor in my hair loss I have a feeling after talking to some health professionals it is an iron deficiency.
Once again thank you soo much :D

They also have a website www.88herb.com . so if all things fail, you can try this... i hope this work for you, cuz it did for me. GOOD LUCK!"
I'm sure it did... for $129... it should. This guy only posts about hair loss... please, buyer beware ~ especially since hair loss happens when changing one's food program.
In my interview with Brigitte Mars (http://LetsTalkRaw.com), she said she's used stinging nettles for hair loss.... they're free!
