I found a whole bunch of passion fruits by the compost bins outside the health food store tonite. Most are hard and wrinkled, but I thought this is how they are SUPPOSED to be?? so i dont understand why they threw them out.. i took them all anyhow. i split one open and it seemed fine; the dryish ones that are hard and wrinkly on the outside seem to be fine inside. Im not sure about the ones that are a bit squishy though--are these ones gone bad? how do i tell if theyre bad? not a fruit i would spend my money on, but i certainly wont say no to free ones :) i had one and the dog stole one off my counter and had one too and they seemed fine. i dont get why they threw them out though unless they think once they go wrinkly they are bad.. anyway, what are they supposed to be like when they are ripe but not rotten?

thanks

Lucky you. They are supposed to be wrinkly. I love them but don't often pay the price they want.
