I broke my raw streak and ate a tex mex dip my mom made... i want to remake one raw. this is the cooked recipe version if anyone would like to make it for their non-raw family.
ING.
2 cans bean dip
8 oz sour cream
8 oz guacamole
green onion
2 cans black olives
tomatoes
cheddar cheese
taco seasoning package
tortilla chips
spread bean dip on plate (one can per plate)
mix sour cream and taco seasoning with guacamole (you will use almost all of the guacamole.)
spread 1/2 on each plate
sprinkle green onion black olive and tomatoe on top and cover with cheddar cheese
To mkae this raw I have a recipe for taco seasoning but dont know what I would do for the bean dip and cheese. Id probably leave the sour cream out altogether. as for the tortilla chips, If anyone can suggest a recipe thats really good...I tried to make corn chips and the batter was good but they didnt dry nicely. They were supposed to be dried on teflex but I used wax paper. Maybe I should have tried the dehyrator.

delerium,
If you'll notice at the top this says: "RAW recipe and RAW food preparation". This board is support of raw fooders.
Thank you ~

Delerium, I'm oretty sure that offering us this recipe for nonraw is against the mission statement but IF you are offering this recipe for us to convert it to raw, than oki doki :)
You feeling okay today? :)

Revvel it clearly says in my post "I want to make one raw" so that recipe is for converting into raw just like misslinda said it was ok to post if it was for converting. we could delete the whole thread if it will make you happy.

This is what it specifically states. Now, if you are looking for suggestion on how to make it, maybe you'd consider changing the wording and asking for such? Just MY suggestion.
btw ~ I AM happy. Whether you delete, re-word or not, will not affect that. :)

don't know what the fuss is, i took it as her wanting some help converting the recipe  i don't have any ideas delerium, but I bet rawpriestess could help you out. if you PM her, i'm sure you'd get a response. she has her own taco salad recipe, maybe she could help you out!
As with most forums on the internet...everyone interprets everything differently. I took the post as just offering the recipe to non-raw people and it surprised me. But, then I read the post again and got the impression of converting the recipe.
It's easy to misread something on the internet because it's hard sometimes to put into words what you want to say. This happens to me all the time. Which is why I somtimes don't say too much! :o

There was no need to jump down Delerium's throat. You can also choose not to read or "prepare" things. Many of us have families that are non-RAW and are struggling trying to prepare them something that looks good and want to stay raw and reprepare it in a way that will be healthy and RAW for ourselves.
We should all be able to feel safe here and supported and not be judged or snapped at for not "wording" something correctly.
What you just did makes me afraid to post something as a newbie Revvel.

"It's all good!"
My sis mentioned going to taco bell so this may be a better solution.
Delerium: I hope I didn't offend you for asking for clarification......it was kind of funny when I read it.....read it over and I interpreted it a couple different ways at first. :p I read things better in igpay atinlay !!!! ;)

you could take som raw salsa , and add sprouted black or pinto beans (purreed and whole) ?
and also add some blended corn ,with cumin ,a dash of salt, and some turmeric and curry for the cheddar?
and for the chips you could put the "cheese" thinly on dehydrater sheets and dry ,or make flax crackers , OR cut up zukes and deydrate ........

valleyskye and delerium,
I didn't see any comments from Revvell, and I am sorry that to see you sounding so harsh. It was MissLinda who questioned the posting of a recipe. Please as a veteran of this board and one that tries to be as pleasant as possible to not act as a "strikeforce", as how your comments were preceived by me and as written by one of you - You don't have to comment, especially if you are going to sound so harsh, and you shouldn't be afraid to post and attribute that fear to some one commenting on what you say - as you can see here there are more positves than negatives. If you choose not to post, let's hope that is not your loss and simply you may have something really good to share, and that would be our loss. ;)

There were comments deleted, nevermind. You would have had to read them to understand.

All this commotion. The recipe sounds wonderful, both of them actually ;) I think I'll have to give the legal one a try. I love trying to find substitutions for all of my old foods.
