Great finds in Las Vegas

I relocated from Vermont to Las Vegas at the end of May of this year. I've finally gotten my bearings here in Sin City and visit a few stores several times a week. I have a whole "habit trail" !!! Here are some of the finds I discovered today

Fresh Coconuts--9 for 5.99$. Yes, you read that right. They are $2.50 each at Whole Foods. Ranch 99 Market on the 4000 block of Spring Market is selling them by the case. This place also has Durian and tons of great Asian produce. Cilantro is $.55 a bunch. Produce is cheap but I am not so sure about buying cellophane wrapped greens from Taiwan....

Stevia--pure. Trader Joes--in addition to the packets, you can get a container of this for under $10.00. TJ has Raw almond butter too, but prob. the almonds are pasteurized

Organic Avocados. $.88/ea. Sunflower Market. West Flamingo and Rainbow. Look for organic pears and apples at about 1.69/lb, organic Kale (both reg. and lacionato) for 1.69/bn. Often deals on TONS of produce. I try to stay in the organic section. Pineapples 2 for $4.00. Manna Bread ("cheat raw food... :)) the cheapest in town at $3.49/loaf. Not the best place for lettuce and herbs though. Lemons and limes 5/$1.00

Costco--Organic Spinach ($3.49/lb) Organic Mesclun (under $2.00/lb). Lara Bars $17.63 for 18 of them

hello fellow sin city resident..... i live waaay up on the south east side.
but i do have a sunflower market on my side of the strip.
i dont know if you like to make thai food but the ranch market has shredded green papaya in the produce section in containers.
i love that store.

and dont forget to check out the 99cent stores they actually have cheap produce and nothing is over a dollar. you have to find out when the produce guys come in.... for the store i go to. its mondays and fridays for the big shipments. they have LOADS of different stuff. and nothing more than a dollar for bags of things.

I have the Great Fortune of having a reasonable Market also. What about Pineapple for .99 a piece.

You should also check out Fresh and Easy stores. They are all over the valley. They also have organic produce along with conventional.
They usually have things marked down to half price or lower in all the fresh foods departments the day before or the same day the packages are marked to sell by. I've gotten lettuce for as low as 25cents a bunch. Plus a big bag of avocados for 90cents once or twice. Melons for 45cents.
