I have been searching online....are there different definitions? MOST of my food with the exception of 2-4 meals per week are totally raw. I also consume some non-raw beverages (coffee-daily, wine and/or beer 2x per week) Random jelly beans are a weakness too (thank goodness Easter is only 1x per year!)

Does this fit the high raw defininition?

You can make your own high raw definition. For most, it just means an exceptionally high percentage of raw food. Heck, some people would even call you a "raw foodist."

I wouldn't, but I probably wouldn't call you any sort of label!

My take on it as Eva's--certainly you don't need us to "label" you. It is a wonderful jouney to raw and quite healing in many areas of a person's life. It would probably demean the effort/path to so label any part of it.

Enjoy your journey to health.

When I first started hearing about raw food I though "high raw" was something special that was above and beyond raw food :D

Highraw is defined in books as:

75% -Juicing for Life By Cherie Calbom

50% - Healing Injuries the Natural Way By Michelle Schoffro Cook

Gotcha! I think -- for most -- it's really just a high percentage. I think from your other posts that YOU are THE definition of high raw for many folks.

And really, as much raw as a person can happily fit into their lifestyle, is a good way to be. So, if it's high raw and it's good for you.... well, high five! :)

I have always wondered that question too! :D

If people ask me why I'm not pigging out at a restaurant or why I won't try their newest recipes, I simply say "I eat only raw fruits and veggies for my health" and sometimes I share with them about the Raw Food Lifestyle...

90% of the time, people tell me something like "Wow, that sounds so awesome - I don't know how you do it" or "That explains why your skin is so beautiful" or something really nice and encouraging like that.

So, I'm excited just to be RAW... and I guess now I know that I'm High Raw. *laughs* How fun!!!
