I eat raw honey from an apiary in my town. I was never a vegetarian or vegan, so I don't really care about all that stuff. I use it when I make raw fudge. Or if I want something really sweet, I'll dip the tip of my finger in a lick it off

I eat Raw honey that is from a local farmer. I make all kinds of sweet raw stuff with it. I put it in my icecream sometimes. I dip a spoon in and lick just to curb my sweet tooth. I like to grinde up sunflower seeds and drizzle a little honey on for a sweet snack. I put honey on my soaked wheat berries and eat it like cereal. Raw Honey is a BIG part of my diet.

I picked up some raw honey from the local food co-op, last night I ate 2 teaspoons of it. Havent had honey in years. Vegan/Animals Rights and so forth. Kinda upsets me that the bees work so hard and someone takes it from them. Plus bees dying and so forth. :( So the honey to me isnt as good as a bee dying or the work they go through for it. This will probably be my last bit of honey.
Whats your thoughts?

Not all bees are treated like that Peter, thankfully.
They can also be loved and appreciated! I just read a cute book called the secret life of bees--GREAT read. Have you ever read about the bees life cycle? What they do? How it all works?
It is enlightening to visit a local small time bee farmer and get walked through the process.
Anyways, I love raw organic honey! yummmmmmmmy.....i love it on alissa's banana flax crackers with almond butter.

I use to use honey all the time, but out here in the rockies it really gets stiff and hard to mix in liquid.
The best alternative I've found is raw agave nectar. It flows very fast, mixes easily in liquid without clumping up, and has a very clean, almost cotton candy-like flavor.
Madhava is a great source for agave. Personally, I wouldn't purchase it from most raw websites as the price is inflated about 4X.
