Hey :]

I am looking for a new food processor since mine is not as powerful as id like it to be. My current one has trouble chopping almonds(my main nut :/ cashews are expensive), chopping dried dates(usually im left with more than half the thing ugh), and in general if I want to mix/chop things in large amounts it's not reliable.

I just want some suggestions of what to buy. What im really looking for is something that is not overly expensive and can easy rip through hard/tough/sticky foods.

I also been looking at the magimix, but does anyone know if its any good?

I have the Cuisinart MP-14N, it is one of cuisinart's top models (I think the most expensive house model at $300-350) but it does have a 20 year warranty on the motor, a super wide feed chute and many other benefits. I highly recommend it.

My 35 year old Hamilton Beach just died a few weeks ago...I was so pleased with it lasting so long that I bought another Hamilton Beach. They're on sale right now at Walmart...the 14 cup ones are only $40!!

thanks for all the replies : D

300$ seems a bit out of my range (210max).

I'll be looking into all of them.

I love my cheap Black & Decker that I got at Walmart. I paid $30 for it and it does everything I want/need it to do. I don't believe that more expensive is always better.

The problem I found with cheaper brands is that often when a part breaks the whole thing is garbage, Cuisinart sells each part individually so you can easily replace any part yourself.

We are very close to Thanksgiving - I would wait until the day after where the sales are at their best. Places like Kohl's have great sales if you go really early. If you can not find something then - places like Costco or Sam's also have really good deals.
